Thank you Kate for a relaxing and comfortable stay for us and our dog. This was a wonderful base from which to explore the Comox valley and only 10-15 minutes from downtown Courtney and Comox. We loved spending time relaxing in the garden and listening to the birds. We especially loved the beauty of the garden and of Kates colourful art! Would happily recommend!

An incredible location. Beautiful gardens, humming birds, ocean view, walking trails, and Cleo the lab. Kate Brown is a great hostess - regularly checking in, seeing how we were doing. Extremely quiet and totally relaxing. Will definitely stay again.

I have nothing but praise regarding the location and the large, private outdoor space. The inside is tastefully decorated and the quality of linens, towels are quite nice. What soured our stay here was the pump that came on every 20 seconds when the water ran. I’m not talking about a regular sounding humming pump (of which I’ve lived with all my life). I’m talking about a grinding pump that almost broke the sound barrier. It came on five times during a three minute shower! Additionally, the fire alarm from upstairs at 9:30 pm didn’t help when we were trying to sleep for a 3am departure. As for cleanliness, it looked clean upon arrival, but we dealt with two large spiders in the bathroom in well established webs, the floor was sandy, and there were dust balls around the floor lamp. I’m not certain where the cleaning fee goes here, but they need a new vacuum.
