We always dreamed of owning a vacation home, and when we finally had the time and money to do it, we chose Joshua Tree. We love rock climbing and we are always happier after a visit to the National Park. We looked all over the High Desert because we wanted a true escape from the city, a place to relax and rejuvenate. The first time we saw this house, we had a good feeling & immediately felt the desert vibe. The views sold us and the potential to make this into a fun, family vacation home unfolded. We came regularly to fix it up and add all the things we have enjoyed at other Airbnb’s. No expense was spared making this house as comfortable as possible. We did our best to think of everything you’ll need. Please save our house as a favorite on Airbnb, as we plan to add a pool & detached game room / movie theater next year! We hope Desert Heart will be a family favorite destination for Joshua Tree National Park!

Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in and check-out times are as stated in your reservation. Your exclusive access to the property begins at check-in and concludes at check-out.
Early check-in and late check-out are not guaranteed and must be approved in writing in advance.
Unapproved Late Checkout: Guests who have not vacated the property by 11:15 AM will be charged a fee of $200 or more. Late departures impact our team .
Occupancy
The number of guests on the property at any time, including day visitors, may not exceed the maximum occupancy listed on your reservation without prior written approval from the host.
Overnight guests are limited to those named on your reservation confirmation.
Unauthorized guest fee: $200 per person per day. Continued violations may result in immediate cancellation without refund.
This agreement is a vacation rental agreement only. It does not constitute a lease or confer any tenancy rights to the property at any time.
Noise & Light
Quiet hours: 9 PM – 8 AM. No amplified music, loud music, or disruptive noise at any hour, and all indoor music must be kept at a considerate volume during quiet hours.
This property is subject to San Bernardino County ordinances strictly regulating both noise and light pollution. Please be mindful of outdoor lighting after dark.
Guest liability: Guests are fully responsible for any county or municipal citation, fine, or penalty issued as a result of noise or light violations during their stay.
Smoking
Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the house.
Indoor smoking fee: up to $1,000.
Cigarette butts must be properly disposed of and removed from the property grounds. Failure to do so may result in an additional cleanup fee.
Pets
Pets are permitted only when added to the reservation prior to arrival. Pet fees are applied automatically at booking.
Undisclosed pet fee: up to $200. Any pet brought onto the property that was not added to the reservation is subject to this charge.
Pets are not permitted on furniture or beds. A fee of up to $250 may be charged for excessive pet hair removal or damage caused by pets.
Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside the home. The High Desert environment presents real hazards to unrestrained animals.
Pet owners must promptly clean up after their animals and dispose of waste in a sealed bag in the garbage.

All beverages near the pool must be served in unbreakable containers.
Guests must shower before entering the pool.
Pool use after dark is permitted with consideration for quiet hours. No loud noise at any hour.
Hot tub covers must be fully removed before use. Do not sit or lie on the cover.

Before lighting a fire, locate the nearby water hose in case it is needed.
Fires must be monitored at all times and never left unattended, even briefly.
Fires must be fully extinguished before guests leave the fire pit area or go to sleep.

Great spot close to the park and town if you want to get something out to eat (Sky High Pizza is great!). The pool, hot tub, dome lounge and game room garage make for fun entertaining. My kids loved that the house was stocked with lots of games. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked for cooking at the house. The owners are super responsive and helped me trouble shoot our hot tub difficulties right away. And the firepit makes for a perfect s’more spot. Overall great place for a family to stay

Everything was perfect for our 5 day stay. We had our son and daughter in law and two teenage girls with us. All had a great time and the property was equipped to keep everyone entertained. The pool, hot tub, firepit and game room were all utilized!The interior space was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Thank you!

The home was just as described. And it was so well stocked! The layout of this home is really nice, easy for us to all be together. My Grandson had fun with the pool table. We enjoyed the hot tub and made smores on the outside fireplace. Centrally located to everything in Joshua Tree. Many good restaurants there. We also enjoyed hiking the park. Owners were very helpful and responsive.
