About this lodge
Welcome to The Knotty Lodge — A Luxurious Mountain Escape in Glacier
Step into rustic elegance at The Knotty Lodge, a handcrafted mountain retreat nestled in the serene beauty of Glacier, Washington. Designed by NW Reclaimed, this one-of-a-kind lodge combines the rugged charm of reclaimed timber with the comfort of modern luxury — creating the ultimate getaway for nature lovers, adventurers, and those simply looking to relax in style.
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be struck by the stunning 8x8’ exposed beams — salvaged from an 1898 Illinois barn — that anchor the space in history and warmth. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the reclaimed wood accents and sleek drywall to the white granite countertops and massive stacked-stone fireplace that serves as the heart of the home.
Gather in the open-concept great room under a handmade antler chandelier, cozy up on the plush sectional, or enjoy a movie night on the 55” flatscreen above the crackling fire. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, and the flow of materials — wood, stone, slate — creates a grounding sense of comfort throughout.
The lodge sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably, with one queen bedroom on the main floor and two more upstairs, all featuring custom finishes and inviting decor. The upstairs bathroom is a spa-like sanctuary with double shower heads, a glass walk-in shower, and a custom walnut slab vanity — perfect for winding down after a day on the slopes or trails.
The large loft area overlooks the great room and provides an extra space to unwind or reconnect with loved ones.
Outside, relax under the stars in the private hot tub, share stories around the fire pit, or sip a drink on the sunny front patio while taking in sweeping views of Slide Mountain. Surrounded by native landscaping and tall evergreens, The Knotty Lodge offers both privacy and the perfect backdrop for year-round adventure.
And because we care deeply about the environment and your well-being, The Knotty Lodge was built with eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient appliances, non-toxic finishes, and a state-of-the-art air filtration system — ensuring your stay is both luxurious and healthy.
Whether you’re here to explore the North Cascades, hit the slopes at Mt. Baker, or simply escape the city for a while, The Knotty Lodge offers a truly unforgettable mountain experience.

We’ve rented this property on three different occasions, and it keeps diving us back. The structure itself has the all the character of rustic modern charm, with a little of that Alpine cabin feeling. There is plenty to keep everybody happy and engaged. There were eight of us ranging from 75 to 2 and all of us were laughing and having a great time.
