Agradable

Lo bien comunicado que estaba el hostal con el centro de la ciudad ya que estaba en la estación de trenes, buses y tranvías y la sala común del hostal.

Al ser las habitaciones tan pequeñas, no había casi espacio para las maletas y la ropa.

Great value for price.

Great location, right next to the train station with connections with Flixbus and/or train. Despite being in the vicinity of trains, it's really good sound isolated so one can sleep peacefully. Warm and heated. Great value for price.

Excelente experiência

A localização é excelente. Fica a 1 minuto a pé da estação e de mercados, cafés. A equipe é muito simpática e prestativa. Voltaria, com certeza!

Esperienza da fare assolutamente

Esperienza particolare. Soggiorno bello caldo ed accogliente. Camere riscaldate; strette, ma con tutto l’occorrente per appendere vestiti e zaini. Essendo vicino alla stazione mi aspettavo di sentire parecchio rumore di notte per via dei mezzi di trasporto ed invece nulla, molto tranquillo. Vicino ad un bar per colazione. Posizione ottima sia per raggiungere l’aeroporto, sia per il centro di Amsterdam. Staff super accogliente ed ospitale. Ci hanno dato la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli alla mattina anche se il check in era dalle 15 e anche il giorno di partenza ci hanno dato la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli per non portarceli dietro tutta la giornata e ritirarli prima di andare in aereo porto ed il tutto senza costi aggiuntivi. Staff presente 24 ore. I bagni, essendo in comune, erano sempre puliti, riforniti è più di uno. Dov’è belle spaziose.Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dell’esperienza. Lo consigliamo a tutti.

Train Lodge was accessible, accommodating, and absolutely worth the stay.

The location and vibe of Train Lodge were perfect. It's super easy to get to from the Sloterdijk train station. While there isn't a ton to do in the direct vicinity of the hostel, there are a couple grocery stores and restaurants, plus the nearby stations makes getting to the city center super accessible. Breakfast was inexpensive and we got SO much food for the value, plus it was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The showers and bathrooms were clean, as well as our room. The overall lodging cost was very reasonable for the city and location. We LOVED renting bikes from Train Lodge (€16/24 hours) to explore the city with. I'd absolutely stay here again!

The rooms are tiny, but that is to be expected. After all, it is a sleeper train. I was on the top of a three-bed bunk bed and felt a little uneasy as it's so high up and I was nervous to roll out of bed. The luggage rack near the top bunk is super hard to use if you have heavy bags, but we made it work. While the value and quality of the breakfast was very good, I do think it should have been included in the overall cost. The hallways are super narrow and the rooms are pretty cramped--this is by no means the fault of the Train Lodge staff, but something to consider if tight spaces aren't your thing.

Friendly backpackers hostel in old train sleeping compartments next to commuter raistation

Location next to Sloterdijk station - good for transport and ideal for train fans! Ambience - welcoming staff and friendly hostel with beds in old style train sleeper compartments ideal for a family of 3, but with drinkable tap water and better toilets and showers. Within cycling distance of centre, and walking distance to fascinating Amsterdam allotments. Supermarket and station cafes.

Food and drink options a bit pricey and limited in this redevelopment area. Somehow it did not occur to me that these would be cramped three person sleeper compartments. Felt a bit embarrassed asking for a harness to prevent falling out of bed, but helpful to have one. Not backpacker prices perhaps, but this is Amsterdam.

Cool place

It's very original and clean Pretty cool facilities. Near to the metro, train and trem.

I shared the room with two friends and we can managed the space. With strange people could be hard.

I spent only one night, but I liked a lot the area and the entire structure.

I loved the location. It was very easy to reach the Flixbus station, and also the train station to reach the centre. I loved the location and how it was decorated the hostel train

I can not tell that there are things that I didn't like it. I would say, as a better explanation, that there were things that I probably liked less, but it's a train. So, it's about to get adapted. Probably I would not use all six beds in each room because rooms are so small, and using the 6 beds, the space is reduced to 10 cm^2

Exceptional

The staff were very helpful and easy to approach. We stayed in a private room with 3 bunks and they were very comfortable. The room itself was smaller then expected but you don't spend much time in your room as there is a common area. The location is awsome right next to the train station and even so you can't really hear the trains at night when trying to sleep.

Good stay experience.

Connectivity wise the hostel location is great, there is nearby train, bus and tram station. This hostel is about 30min away from city center. Rooms were cozy and washrooms and bathrooms are available. Breakfast of croissant, ham&cheese, jam, nutella and bread, juice and coffee cost us 8Euro. I think it was decent price and you can eat you fill, so its worth it. We just need to inform them 1 night prior and you will get breakfast for next day. We had a car and had parked infront of the hostel as it is free Parking on Weekends only.

The 3 bed cabins are pretty small for keepi g lots of bags in, but then it is a sleeper cabin and not a hotel room!

Would never book or recommend this stay to anyone. you can definitely get a wat better stay nearby (in fact cheaper) in

The place is really really tiny. The photos in no ways reflect the space crunch. It is actually suffocating to even stand in one of their cabins with doors shut. we were a group of 3 and we had to book another place without a refund for our stay. Really bad experience.

Excellent location close to tram, bus and metro stations into the centre of the city. Facilities were fine. It was good to find that there was shower gel provided. Clean comfortable beds.

Friendly staff, nice reception area

The rooms are so tiny, there is almost no space for bags. Only two showers for all these people. Very expensive for what you get.
