Horrendous Experience

The location is very close to the Vatican.

Everything other than the location is horrendous! This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in! It hasn't been cleaned in God knows how long. Old torn furniture, bedding, and towels. Almost no dishes or cutlery. Unpleasant odour everywhere, but especially in the closets. One bar of soap and one roll of toilet paper for a five-day stay (three people), no shower gel or anything to clean with. We actually had to go out, buy detergents, and spent our first night making the place decent. On the other hand, we were welcomed with sex toys displayed on shelves like some kind of art. The owner insisted we pay extra tax for our stay, even though we already paid everything through Booking. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON'T GO THERE! Especially so, because you will get no help from Booking whatsoever; they gave us 100€ to use on their platform and just stopped responding to us. We should have been transferred somewhere on the first day, having everything documented in the photos and videos we sent them, but they just didn't care at all, even after the other guests left their review and confirmed our story.
