Love the fact that I was staying in a heritage establishment. The place is also a museum. The room is very cozy.

Newly built using old wood, columns, carved window frames and beams achieving the hotel its heritage mantel. Bathroom, shower and lighting are modern and water heater works very well.
Staff are very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast is available in a hotel located opposite minutes away but that is not an issue.
The best part is the genuine hospitality with the owner stepping out to bid the guests farewell.
It cannot be helped that sound permeates the doors and walls so that you can hear the exercise routine in the yoga hall or people moving up the steps.

This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The building and the rooms are absolutely stunning , decorated in the traditional Newari style and extremely comfortable. The hotel is family owned and we got such a warm welcome from the owner and his sons, who took the time to share the history of the building and a tour of the museum within the building. The owner has sourced old antique pieces and wood carved windows to rebuild the hotel in the spirit of ancien Newari architecture, giving it an amazing twist and charm that can’t be found in any other hotel, while
Being really modern and comfortable. This is more than just your regular hotel but a beautiful family project, HIGHLY recommend!!! Thanks again for making our stay such a highlight of our trip to Nepal!

Lovely old building with lots of original wood. Surprisingly it is situated in a spot popular with young Nepalese people, many coffee shops and small eateries. Close to some of the holy sites.
Beds were small and uncomfortable, no mosquito nets on windows, very busy area with noise and smells from restaurants, overpriced. Breakfast was awful.
