We did miss not having a kitchen but it wasn’t the end of the world.

The location is very convenient as you can walk to restaurants. Jen and Tom were very helpful in giving advice on where to go. We like the cats Sonny and Elvis, especially Sonny who would visit us every morning and evening. It was also nice watching the birds at the feeders.
The stairs from the bedroom upstairs to the bathroom downstairs can be a bit tricky at night. But they have motion activated lights that really helped.

The quaintness of the cottage

Jen and Tom are superb, friendly hosts. A lovely old cottage, full of character in a setting of peace and tranquililty, but only minutes away from the beach, shops, restaurants etc. Watching the abundance of different species of birds coming to the feeders and the highlight was the red squirrel coming to the feeder on the sitting room window ledge. Stunning views of Holy island from Lamlash. Discount on tasty meals at the nearby Glenisle hotel. Oh, and Tom makes some fantastic beer!
The fact that we only spent 2 nights there instead of longer! :-)
