Botham na Mara was gorgeous, unique and full of character. We loved it. Loved the scallops, home made bread, eggs and jbutter and jams. Also loved the location. Reef and kneep beaches are among the best in Lewis.

Great location and hut was well equipped, warm and cosy. The fresh scallops included in the welcome pack was a nice touch
A travel hairdryer might be a useful addition to the inventory.

The attention to detail far out weighs the nightly fee, the view across the field to the dunes of sand are spectacular in itself,laying in bed watching a golden eagle glide bye, hearing the corncrake awaken each morning or simply looking at the dawn role over the mountains, the view and location are spectacular within their own rights. The shepherds hut itself is extremely well designed and laid out. A great shower producing instant heat, a 4 hob stove and oven, double sofa ( bed) and heated with oil heaters. After a long day out wildlife spotting I couldn’t wait to get back and snuggle for the evening. Fresh dive caught scallops and local black pudding were waiting for me when I first arrived with fresh bread farm eggs and milk. This place really is spectacular and I wish the owners ( who are a wonderful family) all the success in the world
By next year everyone will know how amazing this place is and I won’t be able to keep it all to myself !!
