Our comfortable room was right on the beach. Hearing the soothing sound of the waves and sitting on your porch overlooking the Indian Ocean is just amazing. The friendly owner, Nalim, was a great host. You can swim, surf, or bodyboard right in front of the hotel.
We really loved the place. We stayed 13 nights. If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. If you are looking for an amazing, quiet location with true beachfront living, look no further!

"Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful sea-facing hotel. the breathtaking ocean view was an unforgettable experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. The beach is just a few steps away, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy .The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the overall hospitality exceeded my expectations. I had such a wonderful time at Tsunami Beach Hotel! I’ve stayed in a few places in Arugam Bay and this is by far my favorite :) it’s right on the beach and so, so peaceful! I could hear the waves at night and I loved waking up every morning and walking right out my door to watch the sunrise over the ocean. It’s very clean, the beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful for booking tours and taxis. I was traveling solo (female) and felt very safe and comfortable here🙌 The hotel is also family run and one of the original beachfront properties in Arugam bay so if you want to feel like you’re at home, this is the place to be! I took a yoga class here too, the instructor was sweet and tailored the class to me and the other students really well. Overall definitely recommend staying here if you want to escape the party vibe of Arugam bay but still be right by all the main restaurants and cafes!
I didn’t like that I had to leave!
