We stayed on the Böttger Ship Hostel, not the Pöppelmann, which is just on the other side of a small embankment. We had our own bathroom, which was lovely, and the room was huge, although we had to sleep in separate, single beds. On one night we had neighbours, who arrived at about 1am and were loud - the noise travels very well in a hollow wooden boat! We could even hear their conversation through the wall. But the second night was just us, I think, and it was silent! There is a lovely deck at the back of the boat where you can watch the sunset with a drink in your hand. Plenty of parking for only 4,50€ a night. Location is great with a lovely walk along the river to the old town.
Quite noisy with other people - it's like being inside a speaker box. Also the Böttger is apparently undergoing development, so there are a lot of empty spaces and cobwebs! Oh, if you are taller than 184cm, you are going to get a sore neck, because the ceiling is very low.
