The cottage uses treated well water with a sediment and UV filter. We use the water for washing, cooking and everyday household purposes; we recommend bringing your own water for drinking.

Like many cottage properties, LakeHaus40 uses a septic system. Please flush only toilet paper and natural waste. Wipes — including products labelled "flushable" — must never be flushed.

🐾 PET-FRIENDLY

Dogs are welcome subject to our pet rules. Please supervise pets, clean up after them and remember that the property is not fully fenced.

Pet approval and applicable fees are handled as part of the reservation.

Guests have exclusive use of LakeHaus40 and the guest-accessible areas of the property throughout their reservation.

You'll have access to:

Certain locked owner-storage, mechanical, utility and maintenance areas are not available to guests.

There is no boat launch directly on the property. There is a boat launch at Baptiste Lake Marina for a small fee of $15.

LakeHaus40 uses a Yale smart lock. Each reservation receives a unique access code that is active for the applicable stay.

Check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Pets are welcome subject to our pet policy and applicable reservation fees.

🚭 SMOKING
Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the cottage.

🤫 NEIGHBOURS
LakeHaus40 is located in a peaceful cottage community. Parties and events are not permitted, and guests must respect quiet hours and our neighbours.

🌊 WATERFRONT SAFETY
There is no lifeguard. Children must be supervised around the lake and dock. Watercraft and waterfront amenities must be used responsibly and at the guest's own risk. Appropriate life jackets should be worn.

🔥 FIRE PIT
Use is subject to weather conditions, municipal requirements and any active fire ban.

🌲 COTTAGE COUNTRY
LakeHaus40 is surrounded by nature. Wildlife, insects, uneven terrain and changing weather and lake conditions are normal parts of the cottage experience.

❄️ WINTER TRAVEL
Winter tires and a vehicle appropriate for seasonal Ontario driving conditions are strongly recommended.
