Located a short walk from Forsyth Park, Change of Place is a large house arranged as two separate units to accommodate 14 guests. Historic ambiance meets modern convenience in this renovated three story, 3,000 square foot house that is furnished to let you feel the past while enjoying the present. The renovated house retains the original floors, high ceilings, pocket doors, antique fireplace mantels, stair railings, and more. The Upper Unit has two floors, seats ten in the airy living room and at the large dining room table, has a fully-equipped kitchen, and with seven beds and three baths can comfortably accommodate ten people. Step inside and find yourself in an expansive living room with ample seating and a flat-screen TV. Large windows let in plenty of sunshine. Adjacent are the large dining room and a staircase leading to the next level. Beside the dining room is the study with a full bed and bath, and at the rear of the house is the fully-equipped, light-filled kitchen. On the upper level are three sleeping chambers and two additional bathrooms. The front bedroom has a king-sized bed and attached bath, the middle room has two daybeds with trundles, and the rear bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Each room has a flat-screen TV and ceiling fan. The middle and rear rooms share a full bathroom furnished with two vanities.

The Lower Unit has a cozy living room with an exposed brick wall, a large bedroom with a king bed plus two roll-away twin beds, a fully-equipped, eat-in, light-filled kitchen, and a full bath to house four guests. The bedroom and living room have flat-screen TVs.

Both units have central heat and air, cable service with HD channels, Wi-Fi, washers and dryers, and ceiling fans. Off-street parking for 3 cars is on the premises.

Getting around Savannah is easy with walkable streets and plenty to see just about everywhere. You can hop on and off the free Chatham Area Transit DOT shuttle throughout the Historic District (there is a stop near Change of Place). A great way to maximize your time in the city is to take one of the many organized tours. You can select from tours that fit your interest, such as Civil War or ghost tours, or you can take a fun mode of transportation such as a horse-drawn carriage or an old-fashioned trolley.

The City Market, River Street, Victorian District and Historic District are Savannah's most popular neighborhoods for sight-seeing, for a look at historic architecture, as well as a variety of shopping and eating options. For history buffs, Savannah has no shortage of museums. Some popular ones include the Savannah Visitor Center and History Museum, the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, the Ships of the Sea Museum and the Georgia State Railroad Museum.

Savannah's calendar stays busy year-round. Depending on your timing, you might catch the Savannah Jazz Festival, the Pin Point Seafood Festival, Bacon Fest, the River Street Food Festival, or the Savannah Music Festival.
