THE ESTATE

Set on 9.4 fully gated and fenced acres along Whaler's Bay, Blue Raven is a rare waterfront estate on one of British Columbia's most beloved Gulf Islands. The property encompasses 2,400 feet of low-bank walk-out shoreline along the Salish Sea — private, protected, and entirely yours for the duration of your stay.

The estate includes two additional private residences — one for the caretaker, one occasionally used by the owner — each completely separate from the Main House and not visible from it. You will not see them, hear them, or encounter them. For all practical purposes, the Main House and its grounds are your own private world.

Galiano is the sunniest and driest of the Southern Gulf Islands — an ideal setting for a property built around outdoor living.

THE MAIN HOUSE

Blue Raven's custom Cape Cod-style Main House was designed to make the most of its waterfront position. Every single room faces the water. The architecture is sophisticated without being formal — reclaimed hemlock flooring sourced from a 1950s Quebec homestead, custom Douglas fir library paneling, Carrara marble bathrooms, and three Bocci chandeliers throughout.

The gourmet kitchen is built for gathering — Arctic White granite, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, six-burner gas range with grill, second oven, and two dishwashers. The Douglas fir-paneled library and media room is the kind of room you settle into for an evening and do not want to leave.

The Primary Suite

Bedroom Four
Queen bed on the main floor. Direct access to the outdoor deck. The fully ADA-accessible bathroom directly across the hall features a curbless shower and ADA seating.

Additional Sleeping
One additional sleeping area on the second floor with one twin bed — offer flexible accommodation for larger groups up to nine guests.

OUTDOOR LIVING

With approximately 2,200 square feet of covered verandas, Blue Raven was made for spending time outside. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the shoreline is accessible directly from the property.

On the estate you will find a four-hole golf course with artificial turf greens, a five-hole frisbee golf course, a full-size pickleball court, shuffleboard, kayaks, a stand-up paddle board, corn hole, and multiple outdoor seating and fire areas. The deep-water dock sits right on Whaler's Bay — swim in the Salish Sea, tie up a boat, or simply sit at the edge of the water with your morning coffee and watch the light change over the Gulf Islands.

GETTING HERE

Galiano Island is just 30 minutes by seaplane from Vancouver — the fastest and most scenic way to arrive. Seair Seaplanes offers scheduled flights from Vancouver Harbour directly to Montague Harbour on Galiano. Montague is approximately 10 minutes from Blue Raven. Or charter a full plane and get dropped off right at the house dock. Sturdies Bay Ferry Terminal is a five-minute drive from the property for guests traveling by BC Ferries from Tsawwassen.

GOOD TO KNOW

This listing covers the Main House only. Blue Raven is part of a larger private estate. The two additional residences on the property — caretaker and owner — are situated entirely out of sight and do not share any common areas, views, or access points with the Main House. In practical terms, you have the Main House, the full 9.4 acres of grounds, the shoreline, and all estate amenities entirely to yourself.

Galiano Island is a small, quiet Gulf Island community of cottages, rural homes and conserved natural areas. Nearby attractions and local highlights include Sturdies Bay (main ferry terminal and marina), hiking trails and viewpoints managed by the Galiano Conservancy and CRD parks, beaches and rocky shorelines, community amenities at Galiano Village (small shops, café, gallery) and popular anchorages at Montague Harbour. The vibe is outdoors-oriented, peaceful and scenic — ideal for hiking, kayaking, wildlife viewing and beach combing.

There is no public transit on Galiano Island. Typical ways to get around: private car (most common), bicycle, walking, taxi/ride or private shuttle services (pre-book recommended), and small-vehicle rentals during high season. From the ferry terminal (Sturdies Bay) most visitors drive or take a local taxi/shuttle to properties.

1. Checkout is at 10am because of the time it takes to fully prepare the house for incoming guests. Check-in is at 4pm.
2. Guest count must be accurate, as pricing varies based on the number of guests.
3. Dogs are allowed for a flat fee of $250 per dog per stay. Maximum of 2.

5. Please be considerate of the neighbors. We have full-time residents all around us and sounds travels very easily in the area.
6. Please remove shoes in the house.
