A Few Things to Know Before Your Stay
50 Creekside Retreat is located in a natural, flood-prone area near Oak Creek. We consider this part of the property’s wild and beautiful character, but there are a few important things guests should be aware of:
Creekside safety: Due to FEMA regulations, we cannot have fences or physical barriers along the creek. For this reason, the creekside amenities are not suitable for young children.
Occasional high water: The cottage is located in a flood plain. During periods of heavy rain to the north, the normally dry wash behind the cabin can flow. This typically occurs once or twice a year. A vehicular bridge provides access to and from the cottage if the wash is flowing. Water typically recedes within approximately 12 hours, although this cannot be guaranteed.
Limited parking: The property accommodates up to two regular-sized SUVs parked parallel without blocking the shared driveway. Smaller pickup trucks can also fit, but RVs and large trucks are not permitted. There is no additional guest parking on the property.
Natural surroundings: The cottage has a thin roof, so you may hear the sounds of nature more clearly than you would in a typical home—including animals moving across the roof, rain tapping overhead, or tree branches falling onto the roof. These sounds are part of the rustic, natural setting.
Rental agreement: All guests are required to sign a rental agreement prior to their stay.
While this cottage comes with a few quirks that are unique to its natural setting, the magic of 50 Creekside Retreat is in its surroundings. Once you settle in, slow down, and let the sounds of the creek and canyon forest take over, you’ll discover a peaceful and restorative Sedona getaway.
