Spend your days exploring Shaver Lake, heading up to China Peak, or simply enjoying a quiet weekend surrounded by the beauty and comfort of your own mountain retreat.

Antelope Cabin is located in the peaceful Ockenden Ranch neighborhood of Shaver Lake, surrounded by tall pines and mountain scenery. You’ll be just a short drive from Shaver Lake, the Village, local restaurants and shops, with China Peak about 30 minutes up the mountain. It’s a great home base for enjoying the lake, hiking, winter adventures, or simply slowing down and enjoying some time in the mountains.

Living Room: The main living area is warm and inviting, with vaulted wood ceilings, large floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors, and comfortable seating for gathering together. Enjoy a movie night on the Roku TV or cozy up around the wood-burning stove on chilly evenings. Firewood is provided during the winter months.

Kitchen: The open kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, and a breakfast bar. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, glassware, utensils, and the basic essentials needed to prepare meals during your stay.

Dining Area: Located just off the kitchen and living room, the dining area provides a comfortable space to enjoy meals together, play games, or gather around at the end of the day. This beautiful custom table seats 8 people and additional seating is available at the breakfast bar with 3 bar stools.

Bedroom 1: Downstairs, just off the kitchen, you’ll find a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed and charming bear-inspired décor. The bedroom has direct access to a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, which can also be accessed from the kitchen and laundry area for convenient use by the rest of the house.

Bedroom 2: Upstairs, the spacious primary bedroom features a king-size bed and tasteful deer-inspired décor. The ensuite bathroom includes a large walk-in closet and walk-in shower, giving guests plenty of space to settle in and unwind.

Bedroom 3: Also upstairs, the “Fishing Room” is a fun, family-friendly space featuring a queen-size bed and twin bunk beds. This bedroom has its own private full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, making it a great setup for families or guests who appreciate having their own space. Fresh linens, bath towels, and basic toiletries are provided for all three bedrooms and bathrooms.

Critter Cubby: A cozy little hideaway created especially for younger guests! The Critter Cubby gives kids their own spot to curl up with a book, hang out, or get creative on the chalkboard.

Outdoor Space: Step outside onto the spacious deck and enjoy the fresh mountain air and surrounding pines. It's a great spot for morning coffee, relaxing between adventures, or simply enjoying some time outside at the cabin. Outdoor furniture includes an outdoor couch and two chairs, a table and chair set for outdoor dining, and a Coleman propane grill.

Parking: The circular driveway fits 2-3 and makes getting in and out of the property more convenient. If additional parking is needed, there are two additional dirt spots at the front of the house (next to the garage) that guests are welcome to use. Please note that these dirt spots will not be available to use during winter months.

A vehicle is necessary when staying at Antelope Cabin. Shaver Lake does not have public transportation and rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are generally not available in the area. The lake, Village, restaurants, shops, and local attractions are all just a short drive from the cabin.

-AC/Heating: There is NO air conditioning available at this property, but fans are provided. There is central heating available and a wood burning stove.

-Outdoor Furniture: During winter months, the outdoor furniture and BBQ will be put away as the weight of the snow can damage the furniture. We appreciate your understanding!

-Access: A keypad is on the front door to ensure a smooth and easy check-in process. Guests will receive access codes and other check-in information prior to their arrival.

-Trash: No key will be provided to guests for the community dumpsters. Guests will need to properly store trash bags inside the garage, and our handyman will come collect the bags after each stay.
