Pleasent and restful.

Very roomy older yet renewed motel, under real kind private management, in a quite small community.

Médiocre.

This hotel really needs some updates. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms and kitchens however were from the 70’s. Towels were old and mismatched. For the price, we expected a much more comfortable stay.

Good

Large room and decent size fridge Peaceful surroundings

NO housekeeping. After three days we had to put the trash outside the room for emptying. TV system is all computerized and is a nightmare. Seating in this large room consisted of two hard chairs. Light housekeeping system was two cups , two plates, two KFS. No sharp knives etc. Too basic. Asked for a Handicapped room as wife had just had a hip replacement. They gave us an upstairs room. Fire detector in room was missing.

They couldn’t find our booking.com reservation - checkin was painfully slow.

We appreciated having a ground floor spacious room.

The bedroom window was broken, the oven didn’t work - it was even missing the glass in the oven door, black hairs in the bathtub - nasty! - the curtains were so cheap and thin, they didn’t block any light. The beds were also quite hard and uncomfortable. The blinds in the kitchen area were missing the twister pole so they couldn’t be closed. The kitchen was missing basics like a frying pan and a coffee machine. We’re not sure why booking.com lists this accommodation!

Cost too much for the room we got

Rooms look nothing like the pictures. Place smells bad, very musty. No remote or tv until we asked, no channels worked.

Adequate but could be more.

Liked the full kitchen and the layout.

The ants crawling around the room and the fact there was no air conditioning.

surprisingly good

Conveniently located walking distance from the ferry from Saltspring. Surprisingly clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly.

Because its so close to the ferry terminal, you do hear traffic early am - late pm, however that was well worth trading for the location and how easy it is to access when you get off the boat. Transportation from the hotel required a cab ride tp Duncan (+/- 40$) but thats not the fault of the hotel.

I’d stay again, but ask to check the room first.

The location to access the Salt Spring island ferry is perfect. Also there is a pub/ restaurant and coffee shop located a quick walk away.

The room we stayed in had a window on the top side of the room that didn’t have blinds and was directly in front of an outdoor light. So the room was light all night. The grounds of the motel have an unkempt feel to them and I think because they allow smoking outside the rooms, there was a slight smell of cigarettes in the room. We aired it out with the fan and opened all of the windows. We wanted to be right near the ferry, so we just decided to overlook these things.

It was way over priced for what it was & what you got.

The view was lovely, it seemed clean.

No locks on windows, no dead bolt, no smoke alarm, bed sunk in the middle, no wifi, no tv because it is hooked up to wifi. Was told that they had contacted Shaw but look at reviews & about 20 days before people had the same problem. They left someone elses used bar of soap to be used again in the tray that had a bottle of shampoo & body soap. Booked at one price & was charged for $40 more a night. They did right the amount after I brought it to their attention. Needs more updating.

Beautiful town. Will stay there again. Located close to everything including Saltspring Ferry.

Love the location. Quiet, comfortable and clean

Misunderstandings with payment from Booking.com. Should have been straight forward as I've done it many times before. Was sorted out right away to my satisfaction. Would suggest payment at location option if at all possible for this establishment.

very convenient to the ferry, a coffee shop and a couple of pubs for dinner

the location was great, a very short distance from the ferry.

the decor was dated and there was no hair dryer.

Was not pleased with the whole situation.

The room that we were going to get was not ready, it was not cleaned and the bed was still un-made. When I went to pay was told that the credit card machine was not working and she would only take cash, had to go to an ATM machine at a local grocery store.

broken down cars in lot exterior door-lock not up to standard toilet tank ran lighting in rooms awful kitchen poorly equipped when asked for a baking sheet owner said that we were not allowed to use oven, but then allowed us to do so

It was pleasant and enjoyable.

Nice and comfy place. Kitchen had biodegrable bags which was nice since Im environmentally conscious. Well maintained. Friendly staff. Close to the water for a beautiful scenic walk.

The room just like a store room rather than a regular service room where there has no racks or hangers to hang your clothes!

Adequate room for us in the Chemainus area on short notice.

The bed was comfortable, room was very clean, nice towels and good shower.

No AC but fan provided. Screen on one window, which we were able to open. Busy road, so a little noisy, but it was acceptable. A siren went off at 4:00 am, from the pulp mill down the road.

Are stay was great!

No breakfast, location, no view, but ok . Walking distance to everything.

The bathroom door didnt stay closed, and the table top was not totally clean, bathroom exhaust fan was filthy, otherwise all good!
