Convenient, friendly and very reasonably priced

I liked the atmosphere, the kitchens ( though severely lacking in mugs), the people working were friendly and the bathrooms were kept spotless. The dormitory was totally adequate and people very respectful and quiet at night unlike a lot of hostels. Fantastic location

Just more mugs and viditors weee not akways good about tidying up their mess in the kitchen

Worst histel ever

It was near the see and the beach was grate and butiful Its about 8 killometer to city center

Hitter dosent works in the room and weather was so cold!!kitchen was disgusting with untaloratable smel ,building was so old and nothing inclouded in your stay

Not so good

The hostel is well located, at 20 minutes from the Downtown in autobus and the activities proposed are nice ; the Lynn Canyon excursion was a bit long but very enjoyable.

I didn’t booked online the first night so I was in the False Creek room. This night was just horrible, the showers were clean but the room smelled the piss. When I told that to the reception they just replied « I hope it will be better tonight » (????). The nights after were in the Alma room (online booking), a mix dormitory of 10 people, this room was normal. Bring your towels and your sheets, it’s better if you don’t want to sleep in a bed smelling the piss.

Good value. Good atmosphere. Many convienences.

Value. Dorm booking was nicely separated into smaller groups so maximizing ones privacy. 24 hour desk really helpful access. Hostels activity options .. eriks tour exception at exceptional prices! Washrooms separate from sleeping area and having many made for best service.

1) More electrical outlets as more use their personal devices (currently mutiple users use extension plugs in movie room.) To preserve movie room serting as a movie room i suggest perhaps a row of small tables/chairs replacing couch at one of couch locations (with newly additional plugs;) 2) far from other travel areas .. nearest shops turn into day trip returns

Super nice place to stay

The staff is super nice. Really helpful and always smiling. Rooms are super nice and quiet. Kitchen is well equipped. Location right next to go to the beach. Just perfect.

Someone went through my food and it was at the back of the fridge bottom and marked but besides that everything was fine.

Very good

Very friendly staff, spacious environment, chill location. Each beds has its own plugs to charge things, and a small reading light.

The door of the dorm room make a lot of noise whenever someone goes in or out, even a pair of earplugs couldn’t help much.

Friendly staff and clients were quiet and respectful. All ameneties I needed and a great price and location.

Great stay at the HI hostel

The staff was very helpful and polite. In the dorms you even have chargers and lamps. In the kitchen area is enough space so you can cook without getting in someone's way. The best thing we're the big tables where you can eat, there you easily can get to know others during your lunch. Overall it was very clean.

Sometimes there is not enough space in the freezers, so you have to arrange everything, which can take a while. In the hostel you do not have that much seating areas in firm of separate rooms where you can chill out or play something with your friends. There are a lot of sofas but only in the hallways.

It’s reasonable and recommendable for a safe stay!

I was comfortable with a bed space with electricity access. As there were few guests at the night, I could take enough privacy. The shower room was clean and had hot water.

Wifi was weak in the room. And dryer was out of work.
