Enttäuschend aber aushaltbar.

Das Zimmer hatte einen Ventilator, was sehr praktisch war und an der Lage war nichts auszusetzen.

Die Kommunikation mit den Mitarbeitenden war sehr schwer. Bei Problem konnte man sich an niemanden wenden. Man brauchte eine App um sich anzumelden, die eine SMS an die Handynummer versendet, was bei mir nicht möglich war, da ich in den USA keine Simkarte hatte, sondern nur Mobile Daten. Das wurde auch vorher nicht mitgeteilt. Wir mussten dann einen anderen Gast suchen, der für uns eine Mitarbeiterin angerufen hat, die uns dann verraten hat, wo der Zimmerschlüssel ist. Niemand hat uns gesagt, was wir mit dem Schlüssel nach dem Checkout machen sollen, so mussten wir auch hier wieder einen Mitarbeiter suchen, der uns helfen konnte. Davon gibt es leider keine im Haus, so dass wir eine Reinigungskraft fragen mussten, die aber kein Englisch konnte. Dieser hat dann mit jemandem telefoniert und den Schlüssel entgegengenommen. Zusätzlich war ein Föhn mit inbegriffen, der aber defekt war. Auch hierbei konnte uns niemand helfen oder hat sich verantwortlich gefühlt. Zimmerservice gab es keinen. Wir mussten am Ende unserer Reise unsere Müllbeutel eine Reinigungskraft übergeben und auch neue Handtücher gab es während des achttägigen Aufenthaltes nicht. Ab Tag zwei oder drei circa hat man zu fast jeder Uhrzeit irgendein poltern von oben drüber hören kann, als würde jemand Möbel verschieben, so dass wir nur schlecht schlafen konnten. Außerdem war ein Fernseher mit inbegriffen, den man aber nicht umschalten konnte und somit nur ein einziger Sender auf einer einzigen, nicht verstellbaren Lautstärke lief, somit unbrauchbar für uns.

worked out under circumstances, but very rough scary beginning.

Able to stay in same room after having to extend stay. bus stop access very good and lot of foot traffic to and from vibrant bar-restaurants along the street.

no onsite staff to be found only Hispanic construction/cleaning workers encountered with very little English fluency. My room was located at an entirely different address a block away and around the corner upstairs. would never have found it without Hispanic worker calling someone and leading me to that location. better communication needed from ownership. no inside lock on door for added security once inside room and electronic entry didn't always work as smoothly as would like.

Godt lokation rent og pænt men lidt primitivt

De er meget ops på at gæster skal have vær koder Desværre udleveres disse først i sidste øjeblik og derved for sent Vi havde to værelser men fik kun en kode. Det er lidt frusterende at disse fejl skal rettes når man står og gerne vil ind i seng efter 20 timers rejse Derudover skrives der absolut INTET om der også er kode på hoveddøren. Vi blev mødt af låst hoveddør men heldigvis lukket ind af anden gæst. Efterfølgende måtte vi ligeledes lukke to andre nye hold gæster ind de næste dage som ikke ku få fat i vagten og heller intet havde hørt om hoveddørs kode. Vores værelse havde dør til naboværelset. Den var på INGEN måde tæt. Alt lyd og lys gik igennem. Vi ku høre alt og det var ikke fedt.

Lovely

There wasn’t a breakfast. Location was great.

The drugs and homelessness, but that seemed to be all over the city, unavoidable, but will deter us from coming back to San Francisco.

We had a lovely SF weekend!

Great location, pretty quiet, nice kitchen/lounge areas

The shower wasn’t clean and they did away with the continental breakfast.

No chance to request a different room because there's no-one at Reception...ours was on the noisy side of the street, and up 3 flights of stairs.

Rent a bed in hayes valley

Great location. Other clientele were fine

No Elevator. No staff. The key software is an annoying cost-cutting move. I couldn't "loan" my key to my son. The staff (chatbot?) couldn't help. The level of service you provide to be called a "hotel" or "inn" is higher. If you're just looking to rent a bed/room it's fine and the location is great.

Loved my stay - as quirky as expected.

Location is terrific, right amongst the bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Not noisy though. It's a very easy going experience but don't expect all the modern conveniences. The old world charm is real! Having a basin in the room is a bonus, but necessary. Lounge and kitchen areas are great. Handy ice machine!

Bathrooms and toilets are small but clean. Despite being shared facilities there were no problems. There was no secure luggage storage but again no worries. The electronic key system requires access to receiving an SMS which wasn't possible with my e-SIM but the staff worked it out for me.

Hayes Valley Inn is always clean and comfortable!

the door lock didn’t work with the app. I was able to get in the room but couldn’t lock the door so I propped a chair up against the knob like in old movies to keep it “locked” from the inside. otherwise it was awesome

I liked it a lot, I would stay there again if I visit San Francisco in the furure.

I liked the charm of the old house and the sunny kitchen space where you can make yourself tea or coffee. The room was clean, and the neighborhood was nice and central. Our room was not facing the street so it was quiet.

I didn't like that our room couldn't have the window opened and there is just one shower available in the corridor, which was busy sometimes. But we were aware of the common shower and toilet before booking our stay so it was fine for us.

Our stay was really great and it was very easy to walk places.

The location is perfect and close to a lot of cute restaurants and bars. The property is kept very clean!

Very good

We were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this gem, the Hayes Valley Inn which is located in such a neat part of town with fantastic restaurants and boutique stores. The room was clean and tidy, with room service every day (for our 5 night stay). We were surprised that we never had cross-overs with other guests to use the shared bathroom facilities (which were very clean - and cleaned daily). The kitchenette on the first floor was handy for coffee/tea breaks and/or requiring refrigeration or microwaves. We would highly recommend staying here if you want to be in a safer part of town and just an overall cool and hip place to hang out!

The fact that there is no elevator - which they did warn us about before booking, however it was just a bit of effort to haul our very heavy suitcases (23kg / 50 lbs) up the stairwell.

Pretty nice, recommended!

Cool location: awesome cozy & quiet neighborhood, 30 minutes walk to the Downtown or Golden Gate Park. Rooms and shared restrooms / bathrooms are always very clean. Friendly staff.

Got a problem with a phone lock check-in, received regular key, had some time to figure it out.

Location for opera and symphony is excellent. Contactless check in and out is simple and efficient.

Amazing location. Good value. Comfortable enough.

This Inn is in an amazing location and is a very moderate price. I would recommend it despite some of its drawbacks based on the location alone.

SF is chilly, and the heating system at the Inn was crap. Guests are unable to control the heating in their rooms, and our room on the second floor was absolutely freezing the first night. There was also no hot water in the sink in our room.

Comfortable stay great neighbourhood

The location was amazing and the place was really clean. I really liked the keyless key, one less thing to worry about. No check in or our procedure! The room was really spacious.

The place is very old and dated, which meant that it didn't have soundproofing. I was on the 3rd floor and I could hear what's going on in the street and my very loud neighbour as well. So bring earplugs.

the only affordable accommodation in this great neighborhood

I’ve stayed here many times and used to really like it. they shifted to remote management so the key is through an app which works fine. it was very cold in SF and there was no heating. you can only text the staff and they suggested I turn on the radiator but there wasn’t one. there were luckily two blankets so between that and sleeping fully dressed I managed. then I realized the tv remote didn’t work and it was too cold to get out of bed to change channels manually so all in all not a nice night. I appreciate the kind staff who kept responding to my annoying text messages but all he could do was offer someone to come help in the morning which was useless since I left at 6am. note also that it’s a very noisy street corner and the windows are very thin. I used to not mind that but I’ve clearly become a grumpy older man. I’ll need to find another option for future visits to the opera or symphony which is too bad as they’re right around the corner. I appreciate that they keep the communal bathrooms very clean.
