The hotel was ok. It felt like an American hotel. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was too; the bed was ok. The location was relatively convenient to public transportation, for what public transportation might be in North America.
The common spaces could be a bit cleaner. The rooms deserve some renovation. Insulation from noise (especially external noise) was not exactly excellent. Some staff were a bit rough, and I did not like the attitude, especially when checking in. I am not sure how you are used to it, but not all customers are criminals!

It’s in a good location, but the surrounding wasn’t really nice.
The hotel needs renovation.

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past decade. It is our go-to place when we want to go to Montréal for a concert or show. It's central to everything, the staff are nice, and the coffee is great.
The room was freezing cold. No matter what temperature we put the thermostats to, it would pump out heat very slowly and we were quite uncomfortable the whole night. The bathroom was warmer than our room.
