Unique and comfortable stay in a great location.

Room decoration, maintenance staff, cleanliness, location, shared microwave/coffee maker with provided pods, secure entry after hours.

Door entry app a bit glitchy, front desk is sometimes not manned during regular hours (although there is a telephone number to call).

The price is fair enough for the stay.

The rate is good..

There is a smell in our room that is not pleasant.. not sure if it cames from the carpet Not all the time, there is a staff in the lobby..

Questionsble charge

Without any notice. My card was charged $250 for smoking in my room... here is part of the catch. I don't smoke.. so how is the staff who "besides house keeping" is virtually non existent going to pass that judgement on me, consider there apparent presumption was a fact.. Indeed such a fact that they based there decision to fine me $250... When I don't even smoke. I'm in the middle of my 3rd week here. And it hasn't been cheap. Wich is fine. It's just random things like this that put a sour taste in my mouth about it.

Good value, great location

great location and price. great bed and furnishings.

The raised on a platform, claw foot tub was an accident waiting to happen. the cleaner mistook a ziplock baggy of 12 art prints ($1,200 value) for candy wrappers and trashed them. the app I had to down load to get into my room and messaging before hand never provided the front of the building code.

Awesome and beautiful hotel with a practical operational system

The location and the concept of different decor on each room. Also, the keyless and the check-in and check-out systems are magnificent

There is no ice machine. I would have a working vending machines downstairs. One with local drinks and another one with typical food.

Good

Location was good. It was interesting that there was no employees, everything was on code and app. I had my own room.

I chose room that had door between another room and neighbors were loud.

Are you young and looking for an affordable spot in a great location? this place will probably be great for you!

Very cool artwork and cute elevator

The heating didn’t work, and yeah you could hear the people in the other rooms breathing ( very thin walls)

overpriced, mediocre hotel

no heating, defective tv, no workdesk, no breakfast, no reception incorrectly setup key app, could not enter second day etc effectively no windows I was actually the lucky one, I like a cold bedroom, other guests got an electric heater that shorted out the power in part of the building…

Good value stay in a hotel full of character.

Hotel is located right next to Chinatown and the financial district. BART/Muni stops are just a five minute walk away. The hotel has a unique style, lots of handdrawn art which gives it a lot of character. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds.

Hot water often took a while to come through the showers/taps. There isn't always someone on reception which means you may have to call a phone number if you need help. Certainly not up to the standard of a modern hotel, but this was expected as the price was lower than many of the chain hotels.

really bad stay. expensive and looks like a one star hotel.

really bad facilities. broken elevator and does not have hot water in my room. no personnel to assist you. nobody at the reception 80% of the time, and very expensive.

The whole experience felt more of a hostel than a hotel.

Location

Bed was not comfortable, felt like it was going to fall at any moment. No AC system, thankfully it was somewhat cold when we traveled.

old hotel, lift out of age and interior door hard to open, no customer service, funny decor of the room, bathroom very uncomfortable and our of age

Sleep Deprived and Disappointed

Great location.

No one at front desk the entire stay. TV and Wi-Fi didn’t work. Dirty shower that wasn’t wiped from previous guest. 0 insulation so I could hear every sound from outside. street light by window and no curtain, just blinds so the room stayed bright all night.

Never again

Every room had a different look

Loud noise at night in the direct neighbourhood (2-3 a.m.), no staff at arrival and very little staff at all, no separate room to securely store the baggage at arrival while we could not check in yet, water filter wasn’t replaced in two days despite being on red (in lobby)

Having a huge picture of a woman in a bikini was not pleasant. The staff on entry to the facility seemed under the influence of something....... also NOT pleasant.

Very good

The only negative comment is that breakfast wasn't available. It would have been better to edit the listing for the hotel to show that this is the case, as it currently states that it is included in the room rate.

Help!We left after checking in

Window faced three others long term tenants, Elevator was from a horror movie.Could not get in without a cell phone,no one was at the front desk.

Disappointing

The bed was comfortable.

The room was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom, on towels, and on the sink. The floor was also not clean.
