My stay at Sofia Hotel was truly enjoyable. What stood out the most was the exceptional cleanliness throughout the entire property. From the lobby to the hallways and especially my room, everything felt fresh, spotless, and well cared for. It’s clear the staff takes great pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for guests. This attention to detail made my stay relaxing and worry‑free. Great location for our conference a block away from this hotel. Friendly staff and secure valet parking. Large rooms with separate living from the bedroom.
After checking into a room on level 2 I discovered a strong smell of what I would describe as mold, potentially from a water leak maybe, so was moved to the same room a floor above which was better but had extremely poor internet access and despite calling reception it was never resolved, so I had to use the conference venue wifi for the work I needed to do during my stay.

The property was great. Very ambient and horror like. I love the dim lighting and the creepy halls.
We booked the King suite with one bedroom and bathroom. The floors were gross, hair from the previous guest was everywhere. There was a wad as big as my format by the door. I’m assuming a cleaner meant to vacuum it up. The vents were filthy, the bedroom one hardly worked and it was filled with gunk that gave me an allergic reaction to where I had trouble breathing(as other energies stated)I have very sensitive airways so unfortunately, I slept on the couch away from my partner who stayed in the bed. Also very hot, San Diego is very hot but the room couldn’t stay cool with sucked.
