The interior design of The Clyde is unbeatable.
The staff at the front desk were the most friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff I've ever met.
They truly elevate this establishment.
The lighting in my room was very dim, especially in the bathroom.
Also, the shower curtain smelled of mildew, which probably would have been visibly noticeable if the light bulbs were changed in the room.

I loved the historic building and ambiance. The staff was friendly and let me store my baggage after checkout. The room had character and was very comfortable. Very walkable to all the attractions I wanted to visit in Portland

Its location is great. The old building was charming and well maintained.
The check in process. I was uncomfortable having to provide my personal info before arriving at the hotel.

I loved the location and ease of the checking in.
I switched rooms cause I wanted a street view. They accommodated that request, but upon discovery of the main window, which is pretty much the only circulation you will have in the type of room I had. I did 3 nights in there, and it was very uncomfortable and stuffy. I actually came down with a throat virus and have been incredibly sick since checking out.
They did send someone to look at it, but he could do nothing. At this point they should of found me another room . I felt I paid full price for very bad conditions. I have stayed here before and all my stays were TOP NOTCH. However this time I cannot say the same thing
