I liked the location of the hotel. It was near some food spots and a convenience store 5 minutes away that my spouse and I visited during our stay. After check-in, we were informed about s'mores and live music, which my spouse and I enjoyed. My spouse and I went to some food carts late at night that were about 5-10 minutes from the hotel. It was a very nicely kept, clean hotel with friendly staff all around.
The only thing that could have been better was the view from the room, but that is to be expected when getting a hotel in the city.

Very pleasant hotel five short blocks west to the Willamette River, and for this stay, over the July 4th holiday, this meant the Waterfront Blues Festival and the fireworks at night. In the other direction, even fewer steps to Portland's South Park Blocks fo walks under the elms and to the museum district.

Great location for getting around Portland, and good value.
A few facilities were unavailable during our visit such as the patio. Our AC didn’t work, and our friends staying in a different room had a similar problem and chambered rooms. (We didn’t ask because it was cool enough outside and windows opened.) We had teenagers in our group and it was unfortunate that the game lounge was closed. Overall it was fine, but I’d probably not return despite the friendliness of the staff.
