Clean and comfortable room - okay for the price point

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable enough. I liked that there was a small fridge and microwave. Everything about the room was about what you'd expect for the price. A nice perk is that it is right next door to a Mellow Mushroom, which is a fun place to eat and drink, and they sometimes have live music. It's also very close to a Circle K, which you're going to need to hit for coffee if you have trouble functioning in the morning without a caffeine buzz.

Even though I checked in before 5:00pm, the lobby was completely inaccessible, and there was a sign to ring the night bell. When I did, a woman answered through a plexiglass window with a small sliding door to take my drivers license. She was not the least bit welcoming or friendly. She abruptly handed me my receipt, explained how to use the key card, and gave me the internet password. Oh well... the room was okay. The biggest drawback for me was that there was no coffeemaker in the lobby or in the room. I had expected there to be one in the lobby, but as mentioned, the doors were locked, and there was not a coffeemaker in sight. Also, and this is not the fault of the hotel really, but I was awakened twice during the night - at 2:00am and 3:00am - by a very noisy group of people who were all speaking and laughing loudly right outside my door. It sounded like they were all trying to talk over each other, at the top of their voices. They went away for awhile and then came back again. If the Lion Inn had a front desk that you could call to complain, it might have been a less frustrating experience.

No bfst. No coffee available. Check in and out tru small window from outside..Sign of unsafe area. Not to be recommended for single female travelers.

Very old somewhat updated Motel. Didn’t feel safe. Door lock inop from inside .Noisy A/C .pour water flow on sink in bath . Overpriced at $100 plus tax in Aug. Would not recommend .

Wonderful staff and hotel!

Staff were very friendly, professional and efficient.

All was wonderful with our stay! We would definitely stay again. I do wish they had coffee makers in the rooms.

The place was located close to action in St Augustine (20 min walk) for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly. Nice size TV with lots of channels.

There was some hair in the bathroom when I checked in.

The room was clean. The pool was pretty nice.

I was traveling for business, and they couldn't charge the room to the card I originally booked with, so I had to pay for it myself. The air conditioner was very old. I had to set it much lower than the desired temperature to get to a comfortable level, and it turned off and on every 5 minutes or so, keeping me awake at night. The bed was very hard.

Basic room, but met my needs.

Room was clean, AC was cold, staff was very friendly. Toiletries were provided. Hairdryer in bathroom was a plus. Ice cold fridge.

No chair to sit at table/desk. Bed was a little too firm but tolerable for one night.

Rooms are clean, Location is good! quite and quaint.

NO toilet paper, only 1 towel, 1 lil bottle of shampoo/condition! Last time we stayed our room had a whole cut in the film on the bathroom window.
