The outside property was beautiful and had a walking trail, playground, and barn with animals. The breakfast/brunch was amazing! The restraunt waitress was attentive and friendly. The meal was a "10" or above. The shops carried unique and quality items. The room was very clean.
The room was a disappointment. We paid over $300 for a room that reminded me of an upgraded truck stop. The furnishing was cheap and worn. Not 1 picture hung on the wall. The bed headboards were painted boards attached to the wall, and 1 chair besides the small full sized beds.The barn door was charming. The outside steps had some rotted wood, which was a concern for my husband who uses a cane. The Carriage House is supposed to be rustic and charming, I imagine, but to me it was just worn and minimal. The room was clean, but still there were chips in the tile and dings on the front door. I hate to give a bad review, but the only reason I didn't complain is because I didn't want to ruin our 1 night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The phone in the room also didn't work. I couldn't call the front desk. The front desk ladies were efficient and kind, but not the professional level I would have expected from an expensive hotel in Lancaster County. Very sorry for this review.

The room was clean and property cute but the price for a weekend night is wayyyy over priced. The food is extremely expensive for a basic buffet food. Food was mediocre
