The hotel was very nice overall. I would go back for the location and that traditional California feel. Maybe a little overpriced for the age and condition of the property, but that is LA. It would be hard to find a better location / property / service / parking ($45 USD at time of writing this). Being across from the Grove is a real bonus. The reception staff are lovely, they gave me a room upgrade just because and I didn't ask. Rooms have a fridge as well.
The onsite restaurant and bar also a bonus as it's not that hotel vibe, more a place you would go to for the evening.
Price if you don't use booking.com as it's pretty expensive. But you can find sales / room discounts.

location excellent.restaurant very good, we come every year and we feel it like family, the staff very professional and kind.
It could be cheaper for what it offers, the pillows could be more comfy.

The rooms decor and the lobby are really stylish and well kept.
The AC are very noisy and the light from the corridor outside the room makes it difficult to have pitch black. Is that may be disturbing your sleep, take an eye mask and earplugs.

I did not like all the additional fees. For parking $45 plus a parking tax as well, tourist taxes, and them keeping our car keys since it valet parking only. It made it harder for me to go out and about.
