Basic room was enormous and bed was super comfortable, only a short walk to the middle of downtown and the staff were amazing.
The Wifi was absolutely horrible and made doing work on a laptop essentially impossible. It would barely connect and when it did the speed was comically slow. Pool area was great but unfortunately chair hogging is rife as people (generally families with children) put their belongings on deck chairs and then leave to save a spot all day. Would think during summer this could be somewhat monitored. Chose this hotel based on how good Fairmont in Austin was but unfortunately this version is very dated and not close to that one (no fault of the staff who were great, just the overall hotel)

Comfortable room, clean, overall feeling of the hotel was pleasant. Next to the Arts Museum, still walking distance to Downtown. Very cool rooftop pool.
The door to the room could be closed and opened only with quite some force, it felt a bit older, but nothing major.

The staff were all kind and helpful.
Upon leaving the bar and paying a $92 tab, I did not receive an itemized receipt, just a total. Upon check-in, we were told the pool was closing at 7:00 p.m. for a private event (on July 4th), however, that was not the case. The pool remained open. We were also told we would not be able to see the fireworks from our room, which was also not correct. We saw the entire show.
Lastly, the desk in the room had been moved to in front of the window. We had to work around this to see out. It obviously didn't belong there because the outlets were nowhere close to the desk/lamp plugs. It was weird.
