The SOMA location between the Caltrain, Gus's supermarket, Philz and Whole Foods is quite comfortable in terms of getting around and getting food. It's a classic SF/inn-style building with a storied live performance bar venue on the first floor. It ain't hotel, since the bathroom and shower are shared, but it had private sink in the room. The shared bathroom was quite clean.
The chair was covered with a plastic bag, presumably as a consequence or in preparation for some gruel business.
