My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Pier B Resort Hotel. The hotel is nicely located near the Duluth harbor with a beautiful view of the Duluth Arial Lift Bridge close enough to Canal street to easily reach all the restaurants and action there, but just far enough away to leave the traffic congestion, poor parking availability and noise behind. We had a few minor issues with our room, but really liked the view from the room and that the HVAC system worked nicely to cool down the room.
The Silos restaurant has a very interesting menu and the outdoor patio area also had beautiful vista views of Park Point and the lift bridge. It’s quite fun to listen to the ships as they near the lift bridge and signal their intentions.
The hotel staff lights the pit fires out by the harbor every evening and the hotel provides free s’mores kits for the guests. A very nice amenity.
One suggestion would be for the room cleaning staff to double-check the bathroom facilities. The sink in our bathroom was extremely slow to drain and that’s something that I would have expected the staff to discover and report to the maintenance team.
The only real complaint we had was really nothing to do with the hotel itself, but with it’s location across the canal from the Bayfront Festival Park. If you’re considering staying at the Pier B Resort, you’d be wise to check for any events at the park that may coincide with your trip dates. We discovered that there was a weekend Tribute concert at the park which we had no particular desire to attend. The loud rock music could be heard throughout the hotel and in our room for the entire weekend solidly from 11:30AM to 10:30PM. That was really tiresome and annoying. Just be forewarned.

Love the location, services, rooms and amenities.
Was not able to stream on the TV. TV would not load and kept turning itself off. Only could watch the one channel it was stuck on.

THE HOTEL WAS BEAUTIFUL, LOCATION WAS PERFECT, AND THE ADDED TOUCHES OF WOOD FIRES, FREE SMORE KITS, AND EVEN BLANKETS TO USE MADE THE EXPERIENCE TOP NOTCH!
Our room was a King Marina Deck Room on the second floor. I feel trongly that the room should either be a bit cheaper, or at least a warning should come that it is right above the ballroom. The music from the ballroom was very loud in our room, and went until pretty late at night. Honestly, it wasn't that huge of a deal for us, but did seem excessive, especially considering how expensive the room was. I would definitely stay here again, but probably not in a deck room as there are plenty of outdoor spaces, and it wan't all that pleasant to sit on the deck with highway noise. We usually went to the patio anyway.

I enjoyed getting away for an evening. The shuttle drive was extremely awesome.
There was hair in the shower, made me question the cleanliness of the room. The hot tub area was extremely icey, someone fell and got hurt. The staff acted as if we should be extremely happy we were upgraded rooms. We paid for a king room facing the lake, that’s what we got. My biggest issue was the shower being dirty.
