Location was great, but would not return.

Location excellent, could walk to all the historic places in old town

*Since the owner/operators do not seem to be on site like at many other B & B's, the morning staff (although all very nice) should be able to speak English in order to help if guests have questions before leaving for the day to explore. * Having one thermostat in the hall is challenging to please all the guests. One night it was freezing, another night it was so too warm * No extra kleenex or toilet paper left in room. If staying two nights and people before you used most of those supplies, there were no back up provisions. The breakfast staff couldn't understand what we needed and when you head out to explore for the day and return late afternoon, there was no staff around at end of day to ask *The "social hour" consisted of a jar of cheesy crackers, a few cookies on a plate and a decanter of red wine. *Breakfast just soso. Certainly not a hearty meal like most other B & B's we have stayed at. Although coffee is available at any time, the breakfast service should start at least 30 minutes earlier to accommodate early riser guests who want to get out and visit the area. Many guests were sitting in the dining room waiting for breakfast before the assigned time. The server was very nice but could not speak English. She worked very hard to set up and serve the meal. * Bottomline: For the price, the breakfast and social hour were not up to the standard of many of the other places we have stayed at.

Regardless of some of the quirks, we still had a great time!

Excellent location and great porch-walk to everything. Beautiful property, nice breakfast, easy to come and go, nice furniture.

Staff was great but sometimes unavailable. Parking can be tricky for larger vehicles and bathroom was small, but to be expected for an older building. Bed was described on booking.com as a king but the room had a Queen sized bed.

Location excellent, breakfast disappointing

The location was perfect for exploring the historic district on foot. Everything we needed was within walking distance.

The staff was polite and helpful when approached but the Inn did not have an identifiable host to interact with. We couldn’t find anyone to tell we would not be attending the wine and cheese hour. The lighting in room 8 is insufficient for reading or searching thru suitcases.

Basically: Great location; Staff friendly; Bed comfortable; Breakfast ok; Room needs updating.

The staff was pleasant and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Location was close to every thing.

The house needed updating. Many holes in the wall where previous fixtures had been. Half of the electrical outlets didn't work. Bathroom walls were patched in places and painted over. Bathroom mirror was so high you"d have to be at least 6ft tall to use it. Bottom of Jacuzzi tub had cracks/scrapes and we were afraid to use it. TV was small and old.

It was the worst experience & place I’ve ever stayed in my life !!!!!

No choices for breakfast ,only thing good about the inn was location but was very noisy !!!!! Did not get room that I booked & paid for !!! Owners never around , very poor customer service .. would never stay again or recommend to anyone ! Overall a terrible experience!!!! No room service & that was $15 a night for nothing not even clean towels !! The worst !! Very sad !!!

Everything !!!!! Did not get room booked & paid for , & owners did not care, they were rude !!! Noisy room , bath tub in bedroom ridiculous! Extremely small bathroom, no closet , smallest TV , & old !!!! Lies all lies !! Very poor customer service no one ever around , breakfast no choices … no towels or room service which was $15 a day no one ever cleaned the room either ! Worst experience ever !!! Never recommend to anyone !! Needs updates desperately! No parking … DON’T STAY HERE!!!!

Stayed in the king room with a balcony. It was beautiful and clean, the bed was comfortable, I'll definitely be back, and we truly enjoyed our stay. 10/10

It was a quick stay, but We loved every minute!

The cal and convenience was delightful

It was a VERY HOT weekend. Needed to ask them to turn down the air a bit. There was a window unit in the shower are such was necessary. They obliged quickly.

Stay was wonderful; room was clean and comfortable. Will stay again for location but will most likely skip the breakfast

Location is perfect!

The one and only complaint was the breakfast. Quality ingredients were definitely missing; was more of microwave/toaster oven quality instead of homemade.

Very enjoyable for a few days.

Absolutely fabulous location everything is just outside the door. Lovely front porch to sit on the evening and people watch. Coffee and wine free in main house sitting room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning in room was good. Parking for car a few doors away so no need to drive anywhere.

We just booked a bedroom with bathroom and toilet. Would have liked coffee in the room and maybe a phone. We booked for the location not the size of the room which was adequate. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss (strange combinations) but it was made with love!

Perfect location, comfortable bed, easy parking.

The Inn was in the perfect location, it was comfortable, and our stay was relaxing.

While the property was quite comfortable and relaxing, there was a certain sophistication that was missing. For the cost of the stay, I felt that we should have been able to expect a bit “more”. The evening snack provided to us was goldfish crackers and wine. Breakfast while it was good, was rather underwhelming. A simple omelette, and sausages that were not prepared to order but made a short time before. There were no choices only what was provided. The Breakfast is as much a part of the stay as the Bed. I believe that the owners may be new at being hosts, given time I think they will get it right! Their kindness and obvious hard work will pay off. We plan to visit again over the winter, so watch for an update!

Excellent inn for our short stay

Clean room and very comfortable bed. Good shower and the aircon was adequate to cope with the July temperatures. Carter looked after us really well and provided a lovely breakfast. Wine and snacks in the evening were a plus too. Ricky and the other staff were really helpful too. Would come back here again!

Perfect location and a fantastic time

the location was amazing, being able to walk everywhere we wanted to and also having a place to park our car. Everything we needed to know was communicated to us before we even arrived which was very helpful.

Parking situation was confusing. Room in the carriage house was extremely tiny and mediocre. Breakfast not served until 9:15 am.

The spacious room and the location

It was a little bumpy upon arrival. I knew I booked a spa tub suite but the inn keeper assured me I did not. I had to search through my emails to prove I did. They upgraded us, but I did not appreciate the run around and confusion. Also upon arrival there was no one to be found. We did not receive any updates prior to getting to the inn so we were just walking around wondering where to park and check in. A guest told me I should have received an email or text with steps. I got nothing.

Very disappointed in room. We felt like we were placed in a remodeled garage. Tiny bathroom and tv did not work. The Inn was way overpriced for what we got. The only nice thing was the breakfast.

Adequate but not my favorite B&B

Location was excellent - right in the middle of where you want to be and within walking distance of many things. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was awesome. Breakfast food was decent and the presentation was nice.

The room was small and had no place to sit - you had to be upright or in/on the bed. The hot water in the sink flowed very slowly (although it was fine in the shower). Our room was right next to the parking courtyard so there was some noise from that - we were not in the main inn but in the bungalow behind it, so if you stay here make sure you're in the main inn for noise purposes. The light switches in the room were filthy which is a big turn-off, otherwise it was clean. Accessories/room appointments were cheap. The wait staff during breakfast were efficient, but not friendly. One of the concrete steps to the front porch is crumbling. Overall charm factor for a B&B was on the low side. Not a bad price for the location (as others are even higher priced) but not worth it in my opinion. Next time I'd stay in a hotel.

great location, great people and host, just one big issue that ruined it for us.

There was mold in our room and the room was so damp we could not run air conditioning. We complained the next day and the owner took off $33.00 for the issue. The owners were nice and there were many other rooms but were full. This particular room was by itself in the carriage house. The owner said they were taking care of it and I hope that he does. I have been sick with cold ever since. if they can’t stop the mold then they should not rent the room. it really made our stay very uncomfortable and never would have thought this would happen. Again very nice people and home but sometimes you just have make sure the accommodations are what they should be.

The location is great for walking to shops, restaurants, and the historic fort, but the room was really small.

The room and bathroom were very small. The tv didn’t work at first and I had to fiddle with various cables to get it working. The smoke detector was removed from the ceiling electrical connection.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn on Charlotte; wish we could have stayed longer.

Breakfast was excellent, especially the peach smoothie. Location perfect. Close to excellent Drunken Horse restaurant. Nice to have dedicated parking space. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The shower facility was outstanding. Water and lemonade was a nice touch.

Hope you got the TV picture working. My arms got tired carrying my wife's heavy bag from Parking Lot 8. :)

On a crowded street, difficult to unload, small room, little fresh food for breakfast, expensive.

Very comfortable bed, sound from street noise not heard in room, nice front porch

Breakfast food was poor....everything too sweet, very little fresh food, breakfast was mostly bread fried or baked or with very sweet syrup with canned fruit over it.
