My Place Hotel-Boise/Meridian, ID

The area is great- lots of shopping and dining!

While there was a kitchen - there was nothing in it… no glasses, cups, utensils or pans of any kind.

Close to everything we needed

No pool or hot tub

Fairly close to freeway, close to the village shopping, and needed to break up our drive. Beds were comfortable.

The hotel is well located but not visible from thoroughfares. On the other hand, that is a bonus to not have traffic noise.

(1) Although we did not need dishes, cookware, etc., the presentation of the fact that they are no longer available as part of the room needs to be refined from the present method of offering on the check in screen "kits" available for purchase. (2) When I made reservations, I first reserved 3 days for my wife and myself. After I confirmed that my daughter would be staying the same 3 nights, I went online only to find that the same room/rates were not directly available. So I booked one offered through booking.com then printed out one 3 nighter directly for my wife and myself and one booking.com 3 nighter for my daughter. When we arrived at the front desk, my brother was with us. He had booked quite separately for 2 nights for himself and one night for his daughter. The problem arose when the attendant informed me that there were three 3 night rooms reserved under my name, not two. It seemed to me that the site had gone ahead and booked the room I had looked to book directly but did not find. The desk agent seemed quite confused and spent gobs of time staring at the computer screen. He tried switching off rooms between my brother and myself even though our reservations were quite separate but at not time did he offer to cancel the extra night which he then charged me for, expecting that any resolution would have to come through booking.com which was not something I looked forward to. By this time, more people had been standing behind us so I went ahead and paid for the extra night. The salvation for My Place came when I later spoke with Anthony who had no problem at all understanding and correcting the situation. It was his good service that may lead me to considering My Place the next time we are in town.
