the property and the hosts were very welcoming and so sweet! i got in a little later and they made sure i was all set up and helped me fix the tv as well! the bed was super comfortable and soft and the bathroom was very clean and had everything i needed

Our host Russell was accommodating and fun to talk to. We loved the low-key atmosphere and found it to be a charming old house. Bed comfortable. We liked walking to the Cafe du Monde in City park for cafe au lait among the live oaks in the AM. Easy walk across Bayou St John to a cute little business district with some good restaurants (Cafe Degas was nice for brunch). Served by transit (91 bus goes right by). We did walk to the French Quarter, and it was a little over 2 miles and enjoyable. It was a great base for our weekend in new Orleans that was so relaxed compared to staying in the French Quarter.
I had no complaints. But if you are a person who needs things to be super fancy, you will not like this place. It is not fancy. It is comfortable, charming, quiet, and a good value.

Russell was a wonderful host. Very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom were clean.
They are in the middle of remodeling so some things have not been replaced yet. No ice, no refrigerator

Very nice people. Very helpful. Good communication. The bed was very comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower/tub. Good parking. Nice places to visit close by.
