A traditional friendly hotel that could do with a bit of updating but it was in a good village location. We ate in the restaurant which was very good. We were a little surprised that we were not informed that we should book a table if we wanted to eat at the hotel as they were fully booked but they did manage to fit us in, albeit a bit late.
There was no lift and we were three flights up with our cases.

Great location near to the train station, where you can begin your journey to the iconic places around, + free travel pass for local transport (like train/bus to/from Interlaken).
Nice breakfest with quite a variety of drinks.
Good silent place with an awesome view.
I'd mention lack of air conditioning as we were there during really hot season, but wide open windows at night kinda solved the problem for us, so it's just a minor thing.

Parts of the hotel are quaint with an other worldly feel.
The hotel is tired. The view from the room overlooks a parking lot with the mountains in the distant view. The room was quite basic, although clean and quiet. I didn't think it was value for money, it should be priced cheaper for the experience it offers.
