The hotel is located in a quiet area, some distance from the city centre, but it is well connected and getting around is easy. One of the main advantages is the building itself – a historic property with character, architectural details and a strong sense of identity, which makes it quite different from modern, standardised hotels. The staff are another positive point: friendly, welcoming and always smiling. It is a good choice for those who value the charm of a historic building and a reasonable price more than a high-end standard or extensive facilities.
The rooms have their own charm and fit well with the character of the building, although some elements of the interior show their age. The staff and the quiet location, the balcony and decent beds in our second room.
The bathroom facilities were mediocre at best, old, in need of renovation. First room was almost unusable, very high humidity and water infiltration from outside. And a bad smell as well, of old furniture and possibly mold. The second room we exchanged was better, but still uncomfortable to use the shower.
