Always lovely friendly staff
In a beautiful village .
The food is excellent
Missing some comfortable seating for ‘down time’ inside or out .
The dining room is lovely as are the rooms but just a sofa or comfy chair or two would make all the difference

All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Everywhere was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the two easy chairs in our room. The breakfasts were excellent (superb eggs)
and high quality evening meal. Parking on site is really convenient.
No towel rails seems a bit inconvenient.

Great location in the centre, lovely bar & restaurant- added bonus of its own car park.
Staff were brilliant very helpful and supportive.
One pub up the road & the other down the road - less than a minutes walk. Both served food, albeit ate at Middle House each evening - good food!
Also a coffee house just down the road best cake & coffee I have had from anywhere!
If I had a disappointment it was probably the bathroom - bit small and perhaps not well thought out for placing your toiletries. For some reason the toilet felt quite low? - not a deal breaker as the room was bright & very clean.

Lovely hotel perfectly situated for our purposes. We needed to check in earlier due to attending a wedding, the staff at the hotel were very accommodating with our request. Breakfast the following day was top notch, highly recommend the full Yorkshire breakfast. Room was spotlessly clean and beds were comfortable.
