You'll be only 20 minutes away by car if you opt to visit spectacular Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, and Vikingsholm; Fallen Leaf Lake; or Cave Rock (NV) or Bliss (CA) state parks. If you love the outdoors, this is the place to be: skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowmobiling in the winter; hiking, road- or mountain-bike cycling, running, backpacking, camping, golfing, swimming, and sunbathing in the spring, summer, or fall.
