Wow Happy comfortable amazed

Wow !!what a place Pierfrancesco Maritti was very welcoming all the staff were very helpful . The whole place was amazing the decor was so different loved the quirkiness of the whole accommodation. The rooms were very comfortable and cleaned everyday beds were so big and comfortable. Loved the Breakfast room the pastries were yummy . The roof bar was great had great views could see for miles . I will def be recommend this place to anyone who going to Rome . Also was in a great location had a lot to see .

Felt like home!

Firstly, the location is simply unbeatable if you’re visiting Rome to see the sights and want to stay downtown. We were really warmly welcomed on arrival and it felt like visiting a friend’s home. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you could expect, the view from the rooftop terrace is excellent and is a nice place to enjoy breakfast or aperitivo. Decent value for money and a great base, especially for a first time visitor to Rome.

Given that we were staying on the lowest floor and facing the street, it was a bit noisy during the night but this is only to be expected if in downtown Rome.

Collegamento Wi-Fi praticamente inesistente nonostante l’intervento (così dicono) del personale. Il problema è che anche senza Wi-Fi non c’era copertura con la rete del cellulare (TIM) forse perché all’interno di un immobile con muri consistenti

Beautiful accomodation in central location

This residence is located in a very central place. It is an old refurbished building and it has an absolutely amazing rooftop, from which you can see all the main Rome attractions. You can basically walk to many of these places. The building is really classy and beautiful.

Nothing special, I might say that the check-out time is a bit too early. Also, the beds were not very big, but I didn't really have a problem with that, the room was actually very nice.

Exceptional

I loved this place, from the entrance to the terrace and everything in-between! The staff was so friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations on where to go for delicious ice cream and food. I felt as if I was visiting relatives. Breakfast was delicious with everything one could wish for, eggs, fruit, bread, cheese, different types of prosciutto, jams, croissants and cakes. I had a room on the first floor that was clean, spacious and quiet. The terrace was beautiful and the view is breathtaking. Watching the sunset with a glass of wine and complimentary snacks with views of Vittorio Emmanuele II and the Forum is amazing. The Roman Forum is right outside the hotel. All sites are within 5-15min walking distance, besides the Vatican, which takes slightly longer to get to. I can't fault this hotel and its staff. It will be my hotel when I go back to Rome!

Superb

The location was unbeatable, yet still very quiet. Fantastic rooftop terrace for evening drinks and snacks. The owners/ staff were so lovely and helpful. Lots of great tips and recommendations. The room was a step back in time which was so fitting for the ancient city. We loved it.

Great antique hotel ran by really nice helpful people

Antique style rooms. The furniture was really nice. The roof terrace was great with fantastic views.

Breakfast was a bit basic but this is the only criticism.

Warmth and charm

Such a charming place! I loved many things about it, but most of all I appreciated the warmth and hospitality of the staff. It's so rare in a big city like Rome to be greeted with such enthusiasm and care. Our room was unique and charming, and I loved the location, on a tiny cobblestone street, near lovely small restaurants and interesting shops. Also close to important historic sites. The rooftop bar with views of the city is fantastic, and I also appreciated the generous and delicious breakfast.

Would definitely stay again

The staff is so kind and are happy to help with anything that is needed. Beautiful family owned, authentic hotel in the heart of Rome. Within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Everything is clean and the rooms are nice and quiet to get a good rest.

The best Guest house in Rome.

The location is amazing. Breakfast is perfect. The rooms are great. WiFi is great. The rooftop terrace is amazing in the morning and the evening. The staff are very kind and welcoming. The guest house is in the perfect place only 2 stops from the Terminal train station and so easy to get to. It is overlooking the roman forum with absolutely amazing views from the rooftop terrace. It is within walking distance of every place you'd want to visit whilst in Rome. Literally the best place I've stayed in Rome and will be recommending it to all my friends and family. If I could give this 10/10 I would. You won't be disappointed.

one tiny little fault, as a very light sleeper the noise from everyone walking past until the early hours did keep me wake. in future I’d ask for a room in the back instead of the front. but not a problem if yr a heavy sleeper!

Affordable hotel in the heart of Rome

- Location: Residenza Maritti is located in the heart of Rome, surrounded by the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Altare della Patria etc. Everything is within walking distance. From the roof-top of the hotel you have a spectacular view where you can see all of the above. - Rooms: Residenza Maritti was build by the families great-grandfather 200 years ago, and they have done very well preserving the building and it’s history. At the same time, the rooms are spotless and equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Although the building is old, it’s very well isolated according to modern regulations, thus you don’t have to be afraid having to sleep in a cold room :). - Staff: All of them are wonderful people. They showed us around, made recommendations for some local food, told us how to get tickets for the Vatican museum … we couldn’t have wished for anything better. Staff is also very responsive by phone/whatsapp. - Breakfast: the restaurant has various options, enough to get your day started. Dear Team Residenza, thank you for having us and we look forward meeting you again on our next trip to Rome.
