Smelt fusty everywhere. We knew it was an old hotel, but really needs air fresheners!
Breakfast set up was a bit weird. Wasn't asked if we wanted tea & toast for a while after we'd started eating our food. Cooked breakfast was put on our plates instead of helping ourselves, not a problem, but one of our party only wanted egg, tomato and beans and the portions were very sparse! The cooked breakfast was tasty but wasn't asked if wanted one or two pieces of bacon, sausage etc, which made the plate look a bit dismal.
Travel kettle in the room, took ages to boil and was on the carpet. Not very professional
The room was SO hot! No aircon (yes, we understood an older hotel) but the windows wouldn't open and no fans. We couldn't sleep

Location was very good, breakfast was good
Extremely old fashioned and room was quite dirty. Evening meal was poor. WiFi was non existent.
