This boutique bed and breakfast is in a very central location, a few minutes walk from the train station, castle and shopping streets.
There is a lounge that is open till 6pm that has tea and coffee facilities and welsh cakes. Lots of interesting objects but no tv I dont think.
I was on the first floor. The room had a jungle design wallpaper, shag carpet and quirky furniture and wall decorations. The room had obviously been put together with lots of love, style and attention. Everything was of a high quality and carefully chosen. It felt very cosy. Ive got home and redone my bedroom I felt so inspired!
The breakfast basket had one slice of sourdough bread, a croissant, a yoghurt with berries and granola, a madeline cake, a satsuma, a slice of ham and of cheese and a cafetiere of coffee. It is left outside the door. This will suit some people who like the privacy of eating in the room. However I found it all a bit fiddly and feel that going down to breakfast is part of the treat of a night in a B and B.
My only other complaint is that a sash window in my room and a sash window on the landing were both open and I couldnt get either to shut. It was quite a rainy windy night. If youre in a hotel with a reception desk it feels easier to ask for help than disturbing a host in a bed and breakfast at night.
