Great building, with great history. Clean and looked after by the staff. A few maintenance problems while we were there.

hotel with lots of character in old monastery - lots of interesting nooks around each corner do take time to explore… spectacular views from the restaurant (dnr and breakfast) across mountain and bay. Easy access to ferry port. Reception staff kindly booked taxi.
Windows in room v small (great view), and air con struggled a little in old hotel. Breakfast set up slow and food basic. Restaurant staff lacked energy. Garden hedge on terrace needs a trim so can see view from tables :)

It has a great view- nice roof terraces and a pleasant pool
Some of the restaurant staff displayed a rather grand attitude - the restaurant served more or less nouvelle cuisine- small portions that don’t really suit people with hearty appetites! We had to beg for some extra potatoes! Subsequently though we found a traditional restaurant that wanted to feed us at almost a third of the cost- so a good result!
