Disappointing - this is more of a budget apartment especially as it is a basement flat

Location is great. Wi-Fi was good.

The property did not feel safe. The front door was fully glazed with a no deadlock. The smoke alarm was covered in cling film. The property smelt as if someone had been smoking and was stuffy / it has no windows that you can see out of or easily open. The walls throughout and sink unit were damaged. There were cobwebs and black mould in the bathroom. The sofa was saggy and uncomfortable and the bed was very soft with foam pillows. There was no coffee or normal tea. The soap was not boutique with a random collection I’m the bathroom. The blankets and towels were all very tired.

Exceptional

Was lovely apartment really nice to just get away for a few days.

The coffee and sugar was 5 years out of date and didn’t realise until my boyfriend used it and was ill from it. Other than that everything else was lush

MY FAMILY WAS THERE THREE YEARS AGO AND STAYED FOR A WEEK. THIS TIME WE STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS AND THE APARTMENT IS AS COMFORTABLE AS EVER. NICE TALKING TO JAMES OVER THE PHONE AND HE WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL.

Place is accessible to city center.James very responsive to all our needs and inquiries.He is also considerater for check in and check out timing.And All things we needed are in the apartment.

Awful!! This apartment is underground and if I had seen a photo from the outside I wouldn’t have booked! We left after 2

The location

On opening the front door a heavy smell of damp hits you. Everything you touch feels damp. There was a dehumidifier on a timer which was obviously there because of the damp.

A good stay but needs a little TLC

Quite central to Exeter were you can comfortably walk to the city centre. Looks nice and modern.

just needs a thorough cleaning. In particular to the fan in the kitchen. More attention to detail as the tubs of milk for the coffee & tea went out of date in 2019. ironing board was in pieces. finally the bath plug needs fixed.

Comfy bed

Smells moisture,no window in bedroom. Basement flat.bathroom window opening for neighbour sitting barbecue area.No parking. Wait 40 minutes for locker code. Damp smell on towel.

Well located but a tired, dark and damp apartment.

Location of the property was good in terms of access to the town centre. Parking OK but had to pay. Clean. Reasonably well equipped. Main bed very comfortable.

Didn't know it was a basement apartment. Smelt very damp and little natural light, cold on arrival late at night. Sofa bed and bedding not great. Shower very weak. Decor tired, several items broken and need replacing- bedside table and dressing table stool (very tired) . The photos are not an accurate reflection of the reality of the apartment. Spent most of the weekend out as the weather was amazing, thankfully. Over priced for the quality in my opinion.

Home away from home

Home away from home. Great to have washing machine. Allowed us to travel light. close to city centre and also car park (free between 6pm and 8 am).

The place was fantastic. Very clean and stylish, with everything you needed.

Very tidy and lovely apartment equipped with everything you need. A good bed and nice bathroom. James is a great host and there when you need him.We had a great stay!

Pleasant

Good location, easy walking distance into the centre of Exeter. Good, well stocked kitchen.

There was a significant damp problem in the apartment, it smelt damp and you could see mould up in the window arches. There was a dehumidifier so I assume it is a known problem but this wasn’t powerful enough to remove all of the moisture, especially in other rooms. The mattress on the bed seemed to have lost its spring on one side.

Excellently equipped apartment for a short stay in Exeter.

The location was excellent for access to the main sights of Exeter but still nice and quiet during the evenings. The flat was tastefully decorated, had pretty much everything we needed for our stay and was a comfortable base. James was very communicative and even offered us a change of towels during our stay. The flat is ideal for a short stay in Exeter for a couple or a few friends. We travelled by train and found it easy to get to.

I would have liked to have seen a handrail/grab rail to make ascending/descending the steps down into the property a bit more comfortable. The windows in the bathroom and kitchen open which help ventilation so it would have been good for the bedroom window to be vented/openable too.

Has potential..

good location

We were not told told this was a basement flat so we had a bit of a shock when we opened the front door to a set of random stairs. There was also poor ventilation. we ended up leaving a day earlier as my partner fell ill due to what we believe was mould in the apartment.

Very good kitchen facilities. The room was pretty clean, but there was some dust.

No parking space for my car. Also, the dining table is small. Finally, when setting up the sofa bed, the blankets and pillows
