The La Masion Blanche is set in a beautiful area on the Opal cost close to local facilities but also on the door step of some stunning coastal and countryside walks.
The accommodation is varied and we stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was traditional with a modern feel. The accommodation was very clean with the kitchen being fully equipped. The on site swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were excellent and very well maintained. We also made use of the table tennis table and French bowls all of which are included. The stunning sandy beach is just over the road and the sea could be seen from the apartment. It's also worth mentioning that two bus stops are in close proximityof the hotel which either take you south into the costal countryside where you can pick up various walking trails or head north into Calais. Not only is the bus in the summer a double decker open top but it is also free! Before travelling I had doubts about being close to Calais however I was very impressed by the number of attractions including the war museum and the large mechanical dragons which you can ride along the sea front. The area is very clean and tidy with the locals taking great pride in the area which is lovely to see. The quality and choice of local restaurants, brasseries and pâtisseries was also very good. If you do not speak French the owners and staff at La Masion Blanche do speak very good English which was very much appreciated, I will however be brushing up on my French language before my return which I hope will be very soon.

We had a well equipped studio flat which was perfect for our needs. I enjoyed relaxing in the spa and the garden. The beach is across the road and there is also a pétanque piste. Excellent breakfast.
If you don't have a car, dining options are limited. The one restaurant in Sangatte is open mainly for lunch.

N0thing - really - the only good thing: it was quiet
The floors were not clean, our shoes clued to the floor.
The infrastructure is old and outdated.
