Excellent base for Alton Towers and other local attractions. Well-run accommodation and the owners were very attentive. Incredible breakfast as well ! We would return in the future.

The Olive Tree is located in a small village, just north of Uttoxeter, with secure parking behind the building. Warm welcome from David on arrival. Check-in was simple and breakfast order taken on day before. Breakfast was good and nice quality items. The building originates in the 1720s and keeps a lot of the original features (beware of low doorways!). Rooms were adequate and as a sole traveller, good. I will use the accommodation again, when I am in the area. Wi-Fi functioned well.

The rooms are clean.
Dogs in the building. I know I probably should have checked this but because I have allergies, I was itching all night and the itching got worse in the morning before breakfast. I had to take antihistamine to relief the itching. Also, while I understand that they ask you to reorder your breakfast, it'd be nice if the fruits and cereals are left out for people to choose. It was kinda awkward to be asked what cereal and fruit we liked when we really can't see these. Especially fruit is a bit tricky to choose without seeing it. I would've got 2 fruits and a yoghurt but it felt awkward when I had to ask what fruit do you have?
