We liked the location and ambiance of the hotel.
The room had character and although a little dated it was in theme with the age of the property.
The breakfast was freshly cooked and was very good value.
There seemed to be plenty walkers around and it is close to the steam railway so the location was good.
Nothing in particular

Beautiful location. Very friendly helpful staff. Tasty breakfasts with good selection.
Room a little on the small size for a double. Some minor cleanliness problems eg. Tea stains on wall next to bin, could be easily removed. A bit dusty etc.in corners. Took a long time for waste water to drain from basin. All minor things which could be easily put right.

Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly. Location is excellent.
Lack of cooked breakfast on the first morning due to chef having car troubles.
Shower was so low pressure it took forever to take a shower.
