Overall great hotel! The front desk staff were great. The rooms were large, clean and with comfy beds and modern bathrooms; nice view over the beach. Breakfast was decent quality and variety; could do with more choice, I guess. Lunch in the restaurant was delicious, great service there too. The location is good, on the waterfront ; the hotel has a nice beach bar and private beach area.
The problem is the overall area - sadly that part of Mamaia is pretty dead... :/ It is in serious need of investment and regeneration.
I booked at the last minute and the price was very high for that part of Europe.

Modern, light and comfortable. Recently renovated.
No swimming pool and no coffee making machines in the room.

-The staff was so so , not rude , no polite at the middle
-Was so hot in the room ( 5th floor) - doesn’t have professional air conditioning in the building, just in the room fitted one and at the reception few standing ones, overall so hot in the building….
-Breakfast wasn’t great - at the middle

Alcor is one of the few hotels in Mamaia with a very good price/quality ratio.
I stayed in the hotel about 6 years ago, shortly after it was renovated, and now I notice that the hotel has still been maintained and kept fresh
