Each bright studio has a living room, bedroom with a private bathroom with wooden floors, kitchen / kitchenette with induction hob, microwave, fridge, kitchen utensils and crockery. The place is spacious, and good breakfast items are provided - as others have said, the daily bread is very good. It is walkable to most everything Coimbra has to offer, but beware of the hills!

Very clean, centrally located apartment within walking distance of the university and botanical garden. Wonderful fresh bread delivered each morning and a refrigerator with the ingredients for a great breakfast. Eduardo and Luisa were very gracious and kind hosts who helped us with an emergency that arose while we were in Coimbra. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity and plan to return next year. A lovely apartment and lovely people. We highly recommend.

This was an excellent property…very clean, conveniently located near all of the major Coimbra sites! The checkin procedure was simple and we appreciated the information booklet and the fresh bread delivered every morning! Our only issue was that it was quite noisy at night! I sleep with earplugs any way so it didn’t bother me but my husband had difficulty sleeping. We still very much enjoyed our stay!

Perfect apartment for two people. Small living space with kitchen. The fridge comes stocked with eggs, cheese, meat, yogurt, milk, juice, and marmalade. There is coffees, tea, and cereal and Eduardo drops fresh bread off every morning.
The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom comes stocked with shampoo and body wash.
The building is very sweet and the view is lovely. Location makes walking to all the sites easy. Eduardo even “reserved” a parking spot on the street in front of the building for us with his car.

Wonderful Apartment in Coimbra!

Beautiful Coimbra
Really lovely apartment only 10 mins walk from the old town. Eduardo was a perfect host (fresh bread delivered every morning!) and the apartment was clean and well looked after. Coimbra is a lovely place to spend a few days - we had an excellent stay.

Lovely apartment, a perfect blend of old & new
Any questions before our arrival as well as during our stay were promptly answered. Once we arrived Eduardo was very welcoming & helpful. The apartment was not lacking anything & the fresh rolls delivered each morning went well with homemade marmalade & butter. Coffee also provided along with milk, OJ, eggs. Would highly recommend.

Eduardo is a perfect host; helpful but not intrusive. The apartment we had was sunny, bright, clean, and beautifully appointed. (If you are sensitive to street noise, though, I would suggest an apartment off the road as the road is a busy one). The breakfast -- with fresh bread and lemons/oranges from the backyard trees plus homemade preserves + eggs -- was a simple delight + bonus. Would not hesitate to return to Eduardo and to Coimbra; everything about our whole stay was gracious + warm.

We only stayed 2 nights in Coimbre but Eduardo was a fantastic host. We had read about the fresh bread in the morning and we were not disappointed. He even offered us fresh marmalade when we arrived. The location of the apartment was ideal, close to everything.

Centrally located, clean and tidy decor, breakfast supplies.
This apartment in Coimbra is ideal for walking into the historical centre. A perfect space for two, well kept and clean, bread delivered in the mornings and basic supplies provided for breakfast. Parking was easy to find on the street in front of the building.

A very welcoming stay in Coimbra
Renting an apartment from Luiza and Eduardo is like being welcomed in by your family. We already knew from other reviewers about the freshly-baked bread left at your door each morning, but it really was a very fun experience. And they had also stocked the small refrigerator with butter and two types of home-made jams, along with a basket of fruit that included an orange from Eduardo's garden . The rooms are pristine and well-lit, with a cool view of the nearby aqueduct from our window. The apartment is also in a great location, within several hundred meters from the Botanical Garden, Coimbra University and a town square that included several restaurants, a tourist information office and a main bus station. We were only there for two days but wish it could have been longer.

Fantastic place, beautiful location
This place is a total gem. The flat is in an old, beautifully restored townhouse, in the shadow of the ancient aquaduct and a stones throw from the university and the botanical garden. It is bright and sunny, impeccably clean, modern, and well equipped . It's easy to walk to anywhere you want to visit in Coimbra (this lovely old town is hilly, however, so be prepared for that). The proprietor (Eduardo) was extremely helpful. They seem to run it like a classy little hotel, with daily maid service, reliable Wi-Fi, etc. Each day we were brought a little sack of fresh bread, and some home-made jam. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to this region.

A modern home with old-world charm
Eduardo and Luisa get an A+. They are attentive and went out of their way to make our stay excellent .
This apartment has been updated but retains its fine character. The ceilings lit at night are beautiful.
Fresh bread each morning was hung on our doorknob nestled in a unique cloth bag. Home made jam from the family orchard was a perfect partner for the rolls. Butter, cheese, milk juice and eggs were supplied daily.
The apartment had daily maid service and was immaculate.
Two restaurants around the corner: one perfect for breakfast and lunch (they had great desserts and bread) and the second restaurant was more formal. Both had good food. Note that dinner doesn't start until 7:30 and the action really begins after 8 so time your day accordingly.
The university was up a few hundred steps away but worth the climb. The feeling was one of serious, determined, intelligent young people. We felt energized by their presents.
Oh, busses run frequently so when you tire of walking the hills, take a bus. It's an adventure to explore neighborhoods that way.

This property in Coimbra is a great place to stay for a few days. We were able to walk everywhere from the place. It was very clean with fresh modern fixtures. The best part was we were greeted with fresh bread at our door every morning!
