Great potential, but a little underwhelming

Great location in Istanbul. with a bit of work the property could be great. We had the two bed penthouse, for 2 of us. Bedrooms and bathrooms were good, some dust apparent. We stayed 8 nights, but the property, which used to be a hotel, was not geared up for a 8 night full apartment type stay. No sheet or towel changes, or spares for self change, and no laundry facilities, with limited kitchen equipment. Luckily we were able to use the towels supplied for both bedrooms. One of the main reasons for choosing the property was the terrace balcony, which was a nice place to sit out, no great view as such, furniture has seen better days, and they need to clear out the dead foilage in the planters. This property has great potential, but when we stayed in September it was a little underwhelming.

we were 6 peyand we all were amazed when first entered the place and during all our stay we really loved it

it was an apparent but hotel level, so beautiful and cozy and very well maintained

It was so perfect that the only thing missing was hangers for the towels (so they could dry well)

Location is superb! Right in center. We stayed on the top floor and it was really quiet. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Home away from home.

The location, cleanliness and the overall design of the place was great for us. If you have a big group of people this is a good spot located in the heart of everything

The customer service could be improved as one of the porters at the desk was a bit rude. Other than that it was a super stay

The hotel is very central and has easy access to Istiklal street and very close to Taksim square metro. Good room size. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

The hotel recently removed their in house eating area as they are changing it to apartments, the breakfast was served at a nearby restaurant that were very accommodating. However, the set breakfast served was very average.

We went for outing and when we came back our suitcase zip was broken and from inside some money was stolen. Please avoid this hotel.

Wonderful Second stay at Fuga

Love the staff and owners here, they are very friendly and accomodating and try to help with everything they can. The location is great and right in the heart of Istiklal St. The building is beautiful, old, neoclassical but fully refurbished. The breakfast is very good traditional turkish breakfast

The room we had was very very small. The bed took up all the space and you could not move around the room or even open the door to the balcony. The room is very nice but they should just put a smaller bed in my opinion. The bathroom is very nice also, however there was a problem with drainage in shower. We also did not have amenities in the bathroom.

Rooms are nicely decorated with wall details . Perfect location !

Your website shows breakfast included but that wasn’t actually true . We had to go to nearby breakfast cafe everyday . Staff needs to be much more fluent in English as they it was hard to communicate with them . Bathroom was not fully equipped with toiletries and towels . Shower was choking too . Staff tried their best to be hospitable but the management must supervise and train them to function as a place that makes this property qualify for keeping its stars on booking.com . Information on booking.com is also misleading and many things are not projected right about this property

Run down and past its prime. Needs serious rework and new management.

Good location near Taksim Square for walking. Comfortable beds. Day time staff was helpful and accomodating.

Night staff does not speak English. Difficult to get to by car. Place was run down and dirty. Booked the penthouse and the pictures were misleading, many things not as pictured. While the day staff was helpful, we had to ask for many basics that were not provided, such as towels and soap, though these were provided. If you have any issues whatsoever in the evening or at night, you will not get any assistance or help.

Location. The manager is also friendly and ready to solve the problems.

The facility consists of two parts: 2nd floor is the hotel, 3rd and above - apartments. we stayed in the hotel part on the 2nd floor. Issues: 1. Room size. It’s critically small for a couple. But here OK, I should better look on what I pay for. 2. Sound of the door lock on the 1st floor. It wakes you up when anyone opens it. I discussed it with the manager, we’ve got room upgrade, I did not settle the issue with the sound but at least the roome became bigger. So 50% OK. 3. For three or four days I asked to make up my room. I put that sign on the door, I personnally asked the administrator, but nobody did nothing. On the third day of asking at least I managed to get new towels. That’s completely not OK.

The location was perfect. Very friendly staff during the day. Nice and comfort room

Breakfast very very poor. Almost nothing. Our room never cleaned up for 3 nights - 4 days. It had extra cost 18€ ( if I remember well..) From evening, the receptionist didn't speak English at all.

Pleasant

This is a nice and affordable hotel, in a very central location. We had a very nice stay here! the pros: the bed was very comfy, the bathroom was clean and good. It is a small hotel with just a few rooms and that makes it very quite and comfortable to sleep. The breakfast was in a nice cafe next door, very good and the people there were very kind and sweet !Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful ! even though the one in the Night Shift did not speak English, he was always very kind and attentive. Mezut, the host at the hotel, was also very nice and helped us with everything we needed!

Just a very few things that is key to have in mind: there is not a daily cleaning service, they won’t make the room, but if you are staying for many days is best to ask for it and I am sure they will help you out! The hotel is just two streets away from a very busy street with lots of restaurants, shops and people, so it can be ideal but also a bit noisy.
