First of all its a beautiful property located little away from the Nuwara Eliya town. Mr. Johnson and team were really helpful and courteous through the stay. Property by itself is tucked away from the town secluded and serene, near to Labookellie. One can definitely choose the property for its sereneness and service. Food served was decent and service was impeccable. Place and staff were really a gem. They even arranged for a birthday occasion with a cake and beautiful decoration. Rooms were neat, spaceous and Interiors were impressive. Wish the stay was extended that's how good the place was.

From the moment we arrived, Johnson and his team looked after us. Every detail was just perfect. We didn't want to leave. It was a hidden gem nestled amongst the tea bushes near Labookellie ! Nothing was too much trouble. Johnson and the chef catered so well for my wife's gluten intolerance. All the food was exceptional. All we had to do was ask and it is provided for. Johnson was proactive which made our stay so easy!
Do yourself a favour and do not hesitate to book Highgrove Estate if you are near Nuwara Eliya (35 mins drive away). We also visited the Labookellie Tea Estate which is 10 mins away.
The grounds at Highgrove were immaculately manicured and the Bungalow was just delightful and beautifully decorated. So much colonial charm.
All of Johnson's 30 plus years experience was on display. He provided a wonderfully run bungalow. It was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Even provided bed turn downs and hot water bottles and a lit fireplace at night. Special mention must go to the Chef.
All in all, we should have spent a week there! We only spent 2 nights but it was an unforgettable 2 nights.
Highly recommend the Highgrove Estate. We are planning to return as soon as we can arrange it. Highgrove Estate isn't just for accommodation, it is a true cultural and living experience!

Beautiful big rooms with a generous slice of “old-world” charm. We were so well looked after by the team who worked around the clock to complete our experience. Food was immaculately presented and gave us the chance to sample delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. We would highly recommend having the Sri Lankan options on the menu. Great care and attention was paid to ensure our daughter could eat gluten-free (thank you so much for this).

Ubytování bylo úžasné, personál neskutečně příjemný. Nádherný interiér a kuchař vařil nejlepší kari. Manažer na vše pečlivě dohlížel a vyhověl každému přání včetně dřívější snídaně, s čímž jsme se později na Srí Lance již nesetkali. Servis byl na neuvěřitelně vysoké úrovni.
