The room was nice and wide. also very large balcony. the swimming pool was very nice and big and breakfast was excellent.

We booked for a few days relaxation as we worked our way through Puglia. It certainly did that and we absolutely loved Polignano a Mare town. The food in the restaurant was very good and the views from both balconies were brilliant. Very relaxing place.
The drinks and food were very expensive - €14 for an aperol when the average is generally €5-8.
Lots of hotels in Italy that have pools etc are a bit further out from the town - we knew that when we booked but it’s the first one we’ve stayed at that hasn’t offered a shuttle service to the town (despite the facilities info saying it does). So it’s €30 return in a tuk tuk - which was worth it to eat and drink in the town but not sustainable, especially if you were in a larger group.
Lunch and dinner menu were the same. Also the breakfast - small card on the table saying if you want an omelette it’s €10! Should be included in the rate.
The junior suite was small (more room on the balconies than inside) and air con was temperamental.

Italians have a very different take on breakfast to The UK! For me the breakfast was a shocker… and stayed that way every day. Very little on offer apart really from cake….. a lot of cake. If you like cake then it’s perfect!
Location… obviously that’s not an option to change. But we should have been mage aware you are unable to walk to Polignano a Mare as it’s too dangerous due to the major road. Had to rely on the car which we hadn’t wanted to. Was ok as parking was easy… in March. Having been there in September, parking is nigh on impossible! Restaurant on site was good though but a solitary affair …. Just us and one other couple in a large space. The host was lovely though and food great
