Located in Massanutten, this lovely house for $289 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Beautiful Single-Family Home on Massanutten Resort. This lovely home is large and sleeps 12. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom. The 2nd bedroom holds a queen bed. The loft serves as 3rd bedroom with a pull-out queen sleep sofa. 4 TVs throughout the house. Basement has 2 sets of bunk beds (one set has both full and twin mattresses while the other has 2 twin mattresses.) The basement also has a twin sleeper pull out chair. Large Windows all over the house to enjoy the outdoors from inside. The house has multiple decks and lots of land and trees to enjoy the outdoors. Only one nearby neighbor for quiet seclusion. Centrally located within Massanutten resort, the house is less than a mile from skiing and less than a few minutes to the water park and other resort amenities such as fishing, restaurants, horseback riding, and hiking. Close to James Madison University, Harrisonburg, and Elkton. Enjoy this home during any season at Massanutten Resort!

What an outstanding time we had with family and friends. Highly recommend....

The house is conveniently located in the Massanutten resort on the main road but still feels secluded with only one house next door, a long driveway, and a large wooded lot. The house is dated but nice and big. The owner was quick to answer my questions and concerns. There was plenty of room for our 2 families (4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 kids ages 5-8). The master king room is nice. The queen bed was uncomfortable and looked more like a full-size bed. There were at least 2 pull-out couches, but no sheets provided for them. The bunk beds in the basement are not very sturdy. The kitchen was poorly stocked with dishes for cooking. I had to go to the Dollar General and buy dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent. The house was very dusty. Ceiling fans and vents are caked with dust. There are several TVs, but we could only find 1 remote that worked. No fire pit outside, which was disappointing. Otherwise, we did enjoy our stay and would recommend the rental if these items are addressed.

There were a number of minor issues that, by themselves, would not have been a problem, but taken together gave me the impression that the house is owned by an investor who wants to put in the least and profit the most. For example, it wouldn't cost much to separate the outside lights from the foyer switch, and put them on a light/motion sensor (we arrived after dark). Instructions for using the combination door lock called for entering the PIN and then pressing a "Kwikset" button... there is no such button. Lights over the stove and sink we inoperable, some light fixtures were missing bulbs, and I found two burned out bulbs on a closet shelf. There were only 5 bath towels for 7 people, and no towel rack in the primary bathroom. No cable TV, so without subscription(s) to streaming channels, selections were limited (I viewed a lot of Carol Burnett and Johnny Carson reruns). Simple amenities like bath soap or dishwashing detergent were nonexistent. Most importantly, though, and here is where the owner should want to invest a little money to reduce his/her legal liability: 1) current safety stanards dictate that railing spindels should be no more than 4" apart... the ones on the loft are 6" of open air between - more than enough for a small child to fall through, and 2) the tracks for the sliding glass doors at the rear of the home need to be cleaned and oiled... their current condition presents a safety hazard as a small person would not be able to open them.

Beautiful property and communication great, but basics were missing.
Lightbulbs: A lot of lights were burned out and we had to take bulbs from other locations to light up bathrooms.
Shower Curtain: Mold on curtain upstairs and toilet paper not in holders but we found some in kitchen.
Water Heater: No hot water after 3 people used shower in the morning. The accommodations are advertised for 12 individuals.
Closet bifold doors upstairs fall out when opened.
Not Very Clean: Found pudding on the floor by the sectional.
Bunkbeds: Not made and sheets folded on bed. Bunk beds squeak and not comfortable. It gets cold in basement.

We were so pleased when we walked in to the house without the slightest problem. Very clean and comfortable with a view of the mountains and back off the main road. We were so pleased we will be back. Just what we wanted and more than we expected.

This house was very convenient to all activities at Massanutten. It is an older home but kept well. There were just a few minor things that the cleaner could be better about. They were relayed to the property manager who said she would take care of them. Overall a good rental.

This was our second visit to Massanutten and to this home. The location is so convenient to the mountain for snow skiing. House is perfect for our 2 families. Cristal has been wonderful with communication and always so helpful. We will definitely be coming again next year.

This was our family’s first time to the Massanutten resort and it was a great experience! We loved that the property is a close drive to all the resort amenities. The kids enjoyed playing in the basement and backyard space! Communicating with our host was easy and efficient as they always responded to our questions in a timely and friendly manner. This property had everything we needed for a weekend getaway and we would be glad to return again to visit the Massanutten Resort!

We were a group of 12 and had a great time over the weekend! The house was very nice and we loved the windows and outdoor deck space. The bedrooms were also very comfortable. The only suggestion we have is to provide some basic cooking ingredients like oil, salt, pepper, etc. and some soap/shower materials in the bathroom. Also note to be careful about the router because it is a bit precariously set up with all the wires and is easy to knock over. But all in all, loved our stay here!

Wonderful Trip!
The home was very nice and accommodated all 11 of us nicely. Linens were provided, which was a huge help. The home is only a 5 minute drive from the ski resort. The property manager was very friendly and was available for us during our stay. We would refer this home for anyone coming to the Massanutten Ski Area.

No Snow
The house was clean and a nice living room/deck spaces. No snow, went to Skyline Dive, snowboarded an hour a way at Bryce Resort, visited downtown Harrisonburg, went rollerskating, and ice skating. Lots to do without snow. Refrigerator was small and shelves on door were broken. Luckily we had a lot of coolers to keep our drinks cold.

Beautiful wooded, somewhat secluded, location. 2 porches - one for enjoying morning coffee while watching the sun rise; the other with a porch swing. The interior of the house was lovely, light, and spacious allowing our family to easily enjoy being together. We would do it again in a heartbeat.
